Heat Repeat

No, not that.

Sun Sports is replaying all six 2006 NBA Finals games at 8 p.m. on six consecutive nights starting Sunday, Oct. 1. The broadcasts will run exactly as they did in June on ABC, but Sun Sports has added interviews with players and coaches.

“White Hot Heat Week” will also feature episodes of the network’s Inside the Heat program, and will culminate on Saturday Oct. 7 with a rebroadcast of network’s coverage of the Heat Championship Parade and Celebration at 3:30 p.m., followed by Inside the Heat: White Hot! 2006 Heat Season Recap at 5:30 p.m.

BALLPARK V. LABOR

The Marlins’ quest to finance a stadium may be a priority for Major League Baseball, but it isn’t the league’s only one. Talks to forge a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the players are top of mind these days. Labor negotiations were cited as a reason a meeting this week of MLB, Marlins, Miami-Dade County and Hialeah representatives to discuss a stadium plan was postponed.

this is the first i have heard of it and I like what I have read soo far. I hope you continue with this blog the way Omar Kelly keeps his fans informed. I will continue reading

Sarah, could you please summarize the current status of the stadium proposals in Hialeah and downtown as far as the estimated cost of each stadium, who is putting how much money in, what are the current funding gaps and what are the viable alternatives to fill the gaps?

As far as I know the last cost estimate was $420 million for the OB location but the $420 figure is almost 2 years old in a location no longer in play.

One more thing if I may, it would be great if you can find out who will be responsible to cover the stadium operating losses in each location. I hope taxpayers are not left holding the bag on the losses.
