Mr Ross,
Shalom! I am a jew like you. It takes a jew to realize another jew who is extremely wealthy to say to people you are stupid if he gives a rats a$$ what anyone thinks. Its his team he got to where he is by playing smart, making good business decisions and not taking sh!t from anyone. I laugh when I hear all of these idiots actually think he listens to the average joe smoe. If your networth is not in the millions you think Mr Ross gives a crap about what you have to say because you bought some crappy nose bleeds season tickets seats that publix employees win for being good workers. COME ON MAN!!!

Mr. Ross, Do you plan on turning the dolphins franchise into a team for the rich and famous, such as your invitation only nightclub, vip lounge, and increased prices for everything associated with the Miami Dolphins? What happened to the GAME and the fans that support the franchise? I know ownership is a business but lets promote the game and history of the team not become the laughing stock of the NFL.......

Are you worried about too much change around the stadium and owners leaving fins fans with loss of fins tradition?
Posted by: ral3721 | August 25, 2009 1:06 PM
There's only one way to put it. Another Wayne Huizenger Blunder selling the team. Keep the traditions in tact including song and uniforms. Stop embaressing us,the loyale fans. This isn't hollywood.

Stevie Ross, are you gonna mobile dome the stadium? What are your wishes for the club's future that you haven't shared, you know, that really far out owner's wish? Promise not to laugh, just wanna know how you think.

If you're having trouble with the cup holder this one works well on a lot of stadium seating.
Just a suggestion as who know how long it will take management to fix the problem.

BERNIE MADOFF WOULD BE A BETTER OWNER - I would have more left in my pocket with him then after going to a Fins game under Ross. GO BACK TO NY and take SYD ROSENBERG with you.

Mr. Ross,
I had season tix in 07 and 08. I live 4 hrs from the stadium and I just could not afford to renew them this year because I would be forced to buy preseason as well. I live too far to drive to preseason games. Will it ever be possible to get season tix without preseason? Even better, can a payment plan be constructed that allows the cost to be split up more than 2-4 payments? If I could have paid in more installments I could have afforded to renew. All this new stuff that is being done doesnt do me any good if I can no longer afford the tix.

Mr Ross,
Why don't you just sell the Dolphins, and open up a club and sell 40oz. beer, play all the rap you want and hirer a wise latina woman to run it for you. As a business man you should look at what happened in Tampa when they changed things. They went from a 100,000 waiting list for tickets to trying to give them away.
Posted by: Thor | August 24, 2009 9:59 PM
Out of curiosity, are you Native American? Otherwise I don't understand your disrespectful tone towards African Americans and the Latino community when you yourself are most likely the descendents of immigrants. And if you are Native American, you are an ignorant one.

Why have alcohol sales been extended to the end of the 3rd qtr? I have been a season ticket holder for 16 years and have been through this before. You can't tout a family enviornmnet when people are bombed. It is a poor choice to make more money under the guise of the "fan experience" and risk the safety and enjoyment of other fans. Check how many DUI/Fatalities their were back then compared to currently!

Yes, I am a long time fan. I listened to that old goofy song since the early 70's. Life has changed so much since then. One constant has remained. When the Dolphins score, Fin fans will unite to this silly song. Trying to "replace" that to me is the same as trying to replace Coke. It might be updated, but people prefer what they are used to when it comes to tradition. I am sure it is an effort to bring younger fans to the game, but there are so many other ways to do that. Leave the song alone. Joe Robbie is rolling in his grave.

hello mr. ross. just had a few suggestions.
1. dont understand how celebrity owners help the team?
2. if your going to remake the dolphins fight song. remake it. a new song. not some autotune version of the same song. or at least make a few different songs where either the fans can vote for a new song or the old one, if not just leave the old one.
3. i went to first preseason game and all i heard was fans complaining about all the music/music videos. i understand you want to get the youger fans with hip hop and songs that are "in" now. but you have to give older fans what they like also.(not buffet) i like hip hop and rap but you have to get a lot more rock during games.example (um games- enter sandman, welcome to the jungle, rock you like a hurricane) you want to please the fans, you have to please young and old.
4. the jimmy buffet "phins song" is terrilbe, what gave you the idea it was a good idea? (jimmy buffet?)
5. to the fans asking for a retractible roof? where do the dolphins get an advantage at home? home field advantage is not only fans ,its the enviroment. rain, heat, etc. (dolphins have a disadvantage when it snows up north)
6. changing colors of the team would be as good as changing the name or moving the team. (i understand dolphins have one of the ugliest jerseys in the league) maybe different design but not the colors. (again let the fans vote or give opinion before you change anything)
7. we dont need celebrities tell us welcome to dolphin stadium (sorry landshark). we go to see the dolphins(.) period
8. and last but not least. do w/e you have to do to keep the tuna.

Mr.Ross-
Please get rid of the new Dolphin Fight songs they are terrible and the fans want the old traditional song. I live in NJ and get to see my Fins twice a year live. Once at Giants Stadium and once in Miami or on the road. I sing this song in my sleep. I sing with my friends in NJ after we win on Sundays. I sang it at Giants Stadium after we won the division last year! My wife sings it and she is not even a football fan! From what I read Landshark stadium went nuts when it was played on Saturday night! I will be down there when the Fins and the Saints play...I wanna hear the song! Stick to tradition and do the right thing as your are doing and don't get in any aspect of football operations! We don't need a Jerry Jones in Miami.

Mr Ross, Please bring back the old fight song it's tradition. Landshark stadium PLEASE it will always be Dolfin Stadium. Also please get rid of the glitz were a football team not a star studded red carpet. It's embarressing. I am not a season ticket holder but have been a fan since the beginning. Were a proud team not a movie set.

Dear Mr. Ross,
how do you feel about spending all the money on high unproven draft picks and free agents. Wilford and Green just got cut and can keep there signing bonuses whith no service in return. That is hard to swallow for hard working dolfans. Why is there no probation period like in real business life?
By the way a more aggressive logo would be nice but keep the aqua and orange - i love it.
Cheers from Germany

Mr Ross,
Q: If the NFL was to promise you the Super Bowl every 5-6 years on a rotation basis in exchange for your investment in a retractible roof, would there ever be a possibility of one being added to the Stadium?
The early season games in the heat may provide a Home Field advantage to the team, but will always result in a half filled stadium due to the climate and uncomfortable conditions. Attending a game in non club seats should match the experience at home, and in reality this is never the case in the months of August, September, and October due to the climate. The Dolphins as the proud flagship South Florida franchise will be the only local team except the Hurricanes to NOT play in the comfort of an air conditioned and rain protected building. It would seem the one time investment of a retractible roof would more than pay for itself in the future with sellouts, year round convention space, weather protection for Super Bowls, and BCS Championships, Orange Bowls, the Hurricanes, and more...Reliant Stadium in Houston should be the model due to the similiar climate and comfort necessary to make Landshark Stadium the top facility in America for Football and other events. Thank You, and best of luck with the ownership of the team.
Thank You,
califins

Please please please dont change the color scheme of the Dolphins. Its one of the best examples of BRAND IDENTITY in all of sports. When you see someone in an aqua jersey, even from afar, you KNOW that its a Dolphins jersey. If its blue, well, it could be a cowboys, bills, patriots, lions jersey, etc. Red..maybe its the Chiefs, Giants, etc. While in Europe, it was so easy to spot Dolphins fans because of the color of the jersey. Brand identity, Mr. Ross. Dont ruin a proud Dolphins tradition such as the sheer uniqueness of our colors. Remember, Aqua and Orange represent the Sun and the Water in Miami. Dont change them- it would be a big mistake. The Vikings messed with their uni's, and now they look like a freakin' bubble-gumball machine. Dont turn us into that. Just as there has been a backlash against the new 'song', so will there be a backlash at new uni colors. Tradition, Mr. Ross, is important.

1) Isn't it time to call a halt to this approach of trying to attract fans to the game because a bunch of third tier celebrities show up trying to resurrect their careers. Not a single comment in this forum supports it. Football fans don't look up to people like that. Its not the way to attract them to the stadium.
2) Isn't there some damn way to cover that stupid sand/mud pile at the end of the field left over from leasing the field to a baseball team? Last week it cost us an extra point, and will eventually cause an injury when a player plants and slips. Hey, I got an idea . . . let the Marlin's play on grass. You can paint it brown for baseball games, then repaint it green for football .

Dear Mr. Ross,
I would like to start off by congratulating you on your efforts in trying to re-juice the fan experience. I am not a season ticket holder but a do go to the home Division Games and atleast one preseason game and a few practices every year. I just experienced the first annual Fantasy Football Draft Party in the Hall of Fame suites this weekend against Carolina. I must say that the event was a great success and my league can not wait for next year to come around to do it again!! Mr. Kreigh and the staff were excellent, and I will try my hardest to let people know about that event by word of mouth. It doesnt bother me that you are bringing all of these celebrities to partner up with you I mean @ the end of the day it's always good to bring in some extra cash for the Franchise. (Except for Marc Anthony, the guy is a scum bag). Anyways my main reason for writing to you is for # 1 the Dolphins always comes First, then the nagging fans that always have something negative to say. Saying that I do agree with the remake of the Dolphins song is not good and should never be played again especially at the stadium!! I really hope that you saw the fans reaction this weekend when the original was played at the Carolina game, the place irrupted with joy, and thats what u want for the fans to be happy and the Team to win.
Now I really think that you should do more Fantasy Drafts in the Stadium and maybe create diffrent packages for people to choose from.
For Example: Do both pre-season games with fantasy drafts, one package has the monday night game opener vs. the Colts and the second package has another prime time game like Monday night vs. the Jets or Sunday night vs. New England.
I assure you from my experience this past weekend that in about 2-4 years it will cause a waiting list for people wanting to do their Fantasy Football Drafts at your Facility..
I really hope that you receive this message!!
Best Regards Mr. Ross
Go Dolphins!!!

Mr. Ross,
Went to a lot of the Orange Bowl games when I lived outside Miami. Loved the "football" atmosphere. Have been to several games at Landshark Stadium over the years and had a lot of fun. I listened to the T-Pain fight song and felt sick.. I do not think T-Pain represents what the majority of the fans want to hear. Please bring back the traditional version of the fight song. We will be there for the Monday night game verses the JETS and I am spending money to see GOOD FOOTBALL. No more art, no more hip hop, no more celebs... Just good football!!

Dear Mr Ross, my name is Rusty Place I have run Fin Fans of Flagler for 10 years. A Miami Dolphin club making Flagler county a better place to live. I am wondering are the Miami Dolphins stepping away from supporting community based fan clubs? For the past 10 years I have worked with Jeff Griffith and Frank Losito to build a club that has done tremendous things for Flagler county like put 150 kids a day in summer camp on Flagler's beaches. Please refer to finfans.com or call Wayne Huizenga or Eddie Jones the previous Miami Dolphin president. All we need is a little help every year to make a big difference in our community. We have raised approx $50K which is amazing in a county that has 82K population and unemployment of 15%+. Please let me know if you are going to continue supporting the clubs. Thank you.

FANS, NO RETRACTABLE ROOF. Football was meant to be played OUTSIDE. Keep it that way. If you cant handle the brutal weather, dont go to the games. Miami has had this rep of playing outside, and as a long time fan I want it to stay that way....
Build a new stadium, where the fans are closer to the action, keep dome like roofs off it, and rename it the ORANGE BOWL.

Mr Ross,
Would you PLEASE scrap the new fight song you have playing after touchdowns and continue using the old one? I know that our history means nothing to you, but to the FANS who put money in YOUR pocket, the history and tradition of the team is important.
The other question. Why do you keep joining forces with celebrities to share ownership with your team?? Are you aware that putting a winner out on the field is the most important? If you keep doing this, you are going to chase this regime we have going here, off. Please stop it. The fans could care less about celebrities owning the team.
I am sure my opinions or concerns will mean nothing to you, but being a fan my whole life, I am 36, I happen to love my Dolphins very much and I do not want to see their integrity and history go down the toilet by ownership who doesnt care about it. If you show the fans who PAY YOU that you care, and make your team successful, you will comply with the requests and concerns that we have.
Sincerely,
Jennifer

J-LO, Jimmy Buffett and the williams sisters will do nothing for the fan experience or the gameday experience. We care about one thing, winning, continue doing that and the place will be packed, also, does there have to be noise, music, something going on every second ?? I have been going to the games since i was a little boy in 1970, back then we didn't need noise to fill every second of every game and we dont now

Mr. Ross,
I am on my hands and knees pleeding/typing you to please stop the "fins up" craziness. It is corney, stupid, and embarassing. I have been a dolphins fan since 1981 when i came to florida. I beg you sir, please please please leave the original fight song. Don shula, dan marino, those were the good days. Now lets remember those winning days with the old fight song as we win with Sparano,Taylor, and Pennington.
Please I love your enthusiasm to change, and mak things bette. But I BEG YOU TO PLEASE JUST DO THESE TWO LITTLE THINGS:
1.STOP THE FINS UP NONESENSE.
2.LEAVE THE OLD FIGHT SONG. IF IT IS IN THE CONTRACT YOU MADE WITH BUFFET/LANDSHARK FOR HIM TO BE APART OF THE MUSIC. THEN LET HIM RECORD A NEW VERSION OF THE ORIGINAL SONG. BUT PLEASE STOP THE CRAZINESS AND THE CELEB'S. I READ ESPN MAGAZINE NOT US WEEKLY, OR THE ENQUIRER.
THANK YOU SIR AND I WISH YOU CONTINUED SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.
Posted by: Liveforthephins | August 24, 2009 8:36 PM
You MUST stop the new fight song before the regular season begins. It is AWEFUL!
On a more important note, have you ever considered offering shares of the team to the public similar to what the Panthers did a few years ago? I think it would go a long way toward team loyalty for the long run.
Lastly, you should cut the price of pre-season games . The full price is absolutely insulting to season ticket holders. Cut the price to $20 and fill the stands with many less priveledged people who want to enjoy the Dolphins!
Otherwise, do all you can to keep Parcells, Ireland and Sparano happy. If we have an exciting team with a future, the "fan experience" will be great!
Posted by: Chuck | August 24, 2009 8:22 PM
Mr. Ross,
I appreciate your enthusiam but so far your attempts at "enhancing the gameday experience" have not been an enhancement but instead a detriment. While the handheld devices are a good idea, celebrities are not a good idea. Marc Anthony, J-Lo, the Williams sisters, the Estefans, and whoever else are not going to make me cheer any harder, or the players perform any better on the field. The fawning over celebrities and the excess attention being paid to them is embarassing. It's got nothing to do with football. Please also remember that "art" is very subjective no matter what it is. Some people will always like some "art" while others won't. What has Britto got to do with football?! When I go to a football game, I want to see my team on the field. I want to see promotions related to the team throughout the stadium. I don't buy a ticket to a football game to see celebrities or artwork. Neither has anything to do with football. The Dolphins are a team with history and tradition. Please do NOT dilute this history and tradition.
The Marlins have fireworks and concerts for a reason, they are desperate to draw fans and know that the team by itself can't draw the fans. Please do not lump the Dolphins in the same category. The Dolphins are not the Marlins (my apologies baseball fans) and I don't want them to be protrayed as the NFL version of the Marlins which is what you're doing so far.
Even more importantly, why you may not be interferring with football operations, this embarrassing circus atmosphere of gameday enhancements is probably making Parcells think about leaving sooner instead of later. This team has improved significantly in one year, but there is still work to be done. Please do not drive Bill Parcells away with non-football related "enhancements". A good product on the field, good service from the concessions, a clean & comfortable stadium, fair prices in these tough economic times, and football, i.e. Dolphin related promtions throughout the stadium are what will enhance the gameday experience - not fawning over celebrities and esoteric artwork. Do you realize who your target demographic is, or you trying make it something it isn't...

Hi Everybody, I have been a season tix holder since 1999, but I am i the Real Estate Business, and could not afford to renew my tix this year. I wish the Dolphins the best, I will be attending some games (wish it was more). The question I have is: What about the ticket holders in the 400 section? All this money was spent on the club section, when walking around in the 400 section, you could barely find a TV that worked, whats up with that???? When you did, they where little bitty ones, and harder than hell to see, don't the fans in the 400 section deserve the same rights as the club seat holders? We might not be that rich, but for most of us, buying our tickets took a larger part out of our income than it did for the guys in the blue seats..........

Question for Mr Ross: I've been a Dolphin Fan for almost 30yrs now (I'm 37) BUT live in California. Is there a way you can funnel road tickets to fans from other states? With the economy the way it is, it's difficult to go all the way to Florida (although I will be at a home game some day) to see a home game. I live in Los Angeles, CA and want to go see the Dolphins play and whoop the Chargers butt!!!
Posted by: CA_DolFan | August 24, 2009 7:18 PM
Mr. Ross, Please allow me to offer an opinion regarding the Dolphin organization. If you look at the elite teams in the league you would notice that their facilities are rather basic and not overly appealing, however, they have no problem filling seats or selling out on season ticket offers. The reason for this is simply due to drafting and aquiring the best talent available. You see, the only thing true fans really want is "in-your-face, smash-mouthed", phsical football. If you put a great product on the field, everyone will come on board. All the extra flash and pizazz really means nothing at all. You do not need, and the vast majority of people do not want colorful artwork, gangsta rap team songs, ridiculous Jimmy Buffett Fin dances, etc. C'mon now, what exactly are you trying to offer people? a strong football team that is a contender and builds on tradition or a multi-cultural circus side show??? And for God's sake, keep the minority owner groups away from Bill Parcells. Just concentrate on team talent THATS ALL. Oh, on a side note, you may want to consider a retractable canvas sun shade for the early games but that's about it. Martin

long time season ticket holder. stop messing and toying with everything for crists sake. i read and understand that im not the only one who thinks the old fight song needs to be played after all scores. if you dont give us that back then we as a fan base will not trust you. stop with flo-rida and the blackeyed peas and jimmy freaking buffet. his music is not football music. its island party music. we dont want to see anna kornikova or fergie or marc anthony on the score board. we want to see our dolphins. thats it.
play the dolphins fight song not the tpain video game song or jimmy freaking buffet!

Mr. Ross:
I am a new Dolphin season ticket holder and I must say that I enjoyed the first 2 games of the season. However, I must agree with most of the previous letters...too much Fins Up and if you are going to play the Phins song by Jimmy Buffet, play more than 1 verse. Play the whole song. And play the old Dolphin Fight Song after each score too!!!
Good luck...I like what is being done on the field and Go Dolphins!!!
Posted by: Jesse | August 24, 2009 6:58 PM
Saturday Night I had the opportunity to watch the game from the sideline as part of the Sideline Club. Cool concept. And I love Jimmy Buffett, but the "Fins Up" song is horrible and ruined my experience in this unique setting. Please drop the song and the Fins Up theme. Keep the Miami Dolphins tradition, its the only franchise in South Florida that has one.

Can you please look into installing some mist systems in more fan areas for some of those hot September games?
Posted by: Jamie | August 24, 2009 6:34 PM
Oh, and "hiring" people to wear the Landshark shirts and sit in the Club Level and do the Fins Up silliness - that is degrading not only to the people doing it; but to us as fans watching and being subjected to it
Posted by: Chris | August 24, 2009 6:26 PM
I was a season ticket holder for 5 years. I moved to New York for work and had to give up my seats. I am returning to South Florida and I was wondering of the the organization is hiring?
Posted by: Matthew Waxelbaum | August 24, 2009 5:49 PM
I am a season ticket holder and was barely able to renew my tickets this year thanks to the struggling economy. That said, my heart broke when I heard the new version of our fight song. It's not that the original is so great, but it's tradition. In a town where a lot of fans are only fare-weather....we need as much tradition as we can get. Also, no more tvs at the concession stands sucked when everyone went 'inside' during the rain. It's no longer a game day experience for me, I feel as though I can stay home and flip between the game and MTV...why pay to renew my tickets for the crappy music videos......I am a football fan and want to see football when I go to the games. Stop the changes. And one more thing......three years ago, we got 'tokens' at every home game.....Dick Anderson coins, paper fans, beads, etc. Now, NOTHING!!! The stadium went through a major downturn (at least in the 400 level) during the offseason......where did my money go???
Posted by: fan for life | August 24, 2009 5:36 PM
I like the celebrity owners. It gives the Dolphins publicity and adds interest. I'm sure they do not intend to interfere with Coach Sparano or Bill Parcells. But I hate the fins up! Please bring the old dolphin song back, especially after touchdowns
Posted by: edward lincoln | August 24, 2009 5:33 PM
Mr Ross-
Good day sir. I'm just curious...you know that parking lot around the stadium...say some of that land closest to the turnpike...why not call up your buddy Terry Stiles, build a parking garage, some retail space, or possibly even a hotel? Dolphin Sta...excuse me, Landshark Stadium is iconic to South Florida but there's nothing out there. I would love to tailgate at a bar before or after a game and then crash at the hotel to avoid the hour plus long drive home...what gives? I'm happy to be your development consultant...

They should do a raffle for season ticket holders. Winner gets to cut a predetermined player in person.
Posted by: Dan Lebatard | August 24, 2009 5:23 PM
Please stop the "fins up"!!!!!!!! It is insulting to the fans to be repeatedly told to do something they don't want to do...especially something so stupid looking. When we pay stratospheric amounts to go to the games, why should we also be DIRECTED to do marketing for Jimmy Buffett?
Posted by: James | August 24, 2009 5:21 PM
Please do away with "Fins Up". This was a very childish, and annoying part of watching the game on Saturday. This is a professional sports team, not a youth football league.
Posted by: AB | August 24, 2009 5:21 PM
PLEASE bring back the Dolphins real song. The new one is HORRIBLE!! and no more fins up. PLEASE stop the new song.
Also 25$ to park. Come ON!
Posted by: Henry | August 24, 2009 5:08 PM
Mr. Ross, why not sell a one share to the fans or season ticket holders. I would love to say I own a piece of the phins! I think it would be a great idea for fan loyalty and create a stir.
Posted by: Duckman | August 24, 2009 5:02 PM
BERNIE MADOFF WOULD BE A BETTER OWNER - I would have more left in my pocket with him then after going to a Fins game under Ross. GO BACK TO NY and take SYD ROSENBERG with you.
Posted by: Joe Blow | August 24, 2009 5:01 PM
Mr. Ross,
I hope Bill Parcells wasn't in the stadium to watch the pre-season games so far. If he had been, he probably would have run for the gates as soon as he finished vomitting at the sight of "fans" doing the stupid fins up thing on their head. I know I was fighting the urge to leave the stadium, hiding my face it was such an embarassment. You want fans in the seats? Put a champion on the field. The best chance of that is keeping Bill Parcells as long as possible.
Posted by: fat-tony | August 24, 2009 5:00 PM
Why you guys/gals attacking Ross for selling a sliver of the team to celebrities? Who cares. They have no impact on us at all.
But what does impact us is:
1) fight song..have a fan vote!
2)dirt infield/field turf layover the baseball field until baseball season over!
3)retractable roof--been promised for years!
4)stadium name--fan vote!

These moves you are making, new Song, celeb owners, 'Orange Carpet', etc. Did someone advise you to do these things? Did you ask fans what they wanted? I mean, if you wanna see celebs and go somewhere that's trendy or the place to be, don't you just go to South Beach? Outside of the Lakers, no other sports team even tries what you are trying. Why do you think it will work here, when the average household brings in under 40k a year.
Posted by: Jon | August 24, 2009 4:30 PM
Do you have any plans to change the uniforms? I would be deeply distressed if the Dolphins resorted to a NY Islanders "fishsticks" debacle. Please, with all the changes, keep tradition in mind. You are dealing with a group of fans who have not had a Super Bowl victory in 36 years. We are very deeply rooted in tradition from the 70's and the Marino era. It's all we have right now. Please, at least respect that.
Posted by: James | August 24, 2009 4:30 PM
Please Mr Ross do not mess with tradition. Return the old song back to the fans!! Thank You!
Posted by: Marcia Howard | August 24, 2009 4:20 PM
Are there any plans to expand or change the lower bowl of the stadium so the seats are closer to the field, thus giving Miami a stronger home field advantage? Has there been any talk of adding a retractable roof? What does he like/dislike about newer stadiums around the league?
Posted by: Jon | August 24, 2009 4:16 PM
I was an original Club Seat Holder with 4 seats on the 20 yard line for 20 years. Each 10 year contract provided a Fixed seat rate (first 10 years $150 per seat per game and 2nd 10 years $165.95 per seat per game). After the second contract expired I was shocked at the HUGE price increase from $165.95 per seat to $500 per seat each game. Now I read how you want to invest money to add to the game day experience to sell more season tickets. I am from Maryland and for 25 years now I have been flying down to Florida to see every Dolphin Home Game. You are barking up the wrong tree if you think adding to the experience will sell more tickets to a younger crowd at $500 per seat. We rather have a winning team at a fair price. I still come, but the going rate of your club or suite seats are $100 to $150 per seat. I know because that is what I paid last year to sit for 2 games in suites and the other 6 in club seats between the 30's. My question is when are you going to lower the seat price to fill the seats again? Mike
Posted by: Mike | August 24, 2009 4:11 PM
Mr. Ross---Would you please commit to doing everything possible to Keep Bill Parcells with the team at least one more year after this?
Would you please commit to advising all new minority owners to NOT do anything to annoy or alienate Parcells, Ireland & Sparano? I am thinking of Marc Anthony's comment that he 'can't wait to get down here and get to work." I know he said this out of an abaundance of understandable exuberance, but that kind of coment is scary.
PLEASE Keep Parcells.

I have been a season ticket holder for 15 yrs. you have turned our game into a joke. if you cant afford a team without partners you shouldnt have bought the dolphins. the music is too loud, the new version of the fight song sucks & enough of buffett & fins up.
bring back our old fighting song, it is tradition. did you hear the roar when it was played once on saturday? it should be played after every score.
I hope that you do read these messages & do the right thing. thank you
Posted by: eve | August 24, 2009 4:07 PM
How about re-rocrding the original with Buffet on vocals and Roy Clark on the banjo.
Posted by: Stan | August 24, 2009 4:07 PM
Mr. Ross,
As a Club Level Season Ticket Holder for many years, I appreciate the extra incentives like select gate entry off the South Bound Turnpike, escalator to second level, expanded lounge area and so on which I pay extra for. Why, then do we have to subject ourselves to be "man handled" at the Gate entry points, being pushed and jostled with everyone else (who are half drunk upon arrival) when you expect to be treated like a Club Level Ticket holder. It is not a good fan experience.
It could easily be fixed with a separate gate at each entry Gate, for Club Level ticket holders to enter through a gate going directly to the 200 escalator.
Thank you.

Mr. Ross, your weekly addition of a new celebrity minority owner is a joke. Who's next, the Octomom? You want to do something for the organization, then give the stadium it's original name back to an owner who really did make the Dolphins organization what it is. Joe Robbie Stadium. His kids should be ashamed of themselves. And leave the fight song alone.
Posted by: john | August 24, 2009 4:03 PM
Oh... And get rid of that fight song... Have a real artist right it... or if your going to have Mr. 305 a.k.a. (Pitbull) do it do it RIGHT.
Posted by: D-Man | August 24, 2009 3:56 PM
Long Time Dol-Fan... Anyway, Can you somehow make your ticket prices into the stadium... Even if it's standing room somewhat cheaper, then what you have now... I think it cost just to much to go to a game... And Dallas has a new Stadium and there cheapest ticket is $25.

Question for Mr. Ross:
I understand that Mr. Ross is bringing in electrical contractors and construction crew from New York to work on the Landshark Stadium? The local company that did this work for the last several years is looking for work elsewhere! What gives?

Season ticket holder for 43 years. The best years were when the game was the focus and cheers were led by "Dolphin Denny." I like the old fight song and do not like the constant big-screen view of cheerleaders with steroid bosoms.

As a Club season tickets holder living in Miami, I want to know why you insist on making the game experience one loud song or music video after another rather than just letting me watch the great professional athletes on the field that I paid a large amount of money to see. Get rid of the T-Pain's awful version of the fight song, and stop playing Jimmy Buffet after each score, it completely ruins the game atmosphere and kills the crowd. Please just give us the old fight song back after each Dolphins score. Did you watch the game Saturday night, when the old fight song was played at a random moment in the 3rd quarter, the entire stadium stood and cheered, how hard is it to figure out what your fans want and give it to them.

I like the idea of celebrites owning a part of the team,I remember when Danny Thomas was on the sidelines. The request I have is why don't you release a part of the team so fans, such as I, can buy a share in our beloved Dolphins. Thanks for your consideration. John Caswell

Please get rid of the fight songs. If you want to be friends with Jimmy Buffett and others that's fine, have them in your booth. But please, no one I know likes Buffett or has any interest in having to hear him sing or even say GO FINS. That only appeals to Tommy Bahama wearing 45-60 year olds who grew up on that, which is fine for them but not for the other 70,000 in the stands. You wouldn't do a rap version of the national anthem, so please leave our fight song the way we like it. Don't fix something unless it's broken. Thank You

The economy is rough, many people don't have jobs, and the cheapest ticket price for a single game is $41. For me to take my son, it becomes $81 for tickets alone. Plus tack on another $25 for parking. Chicken tenders, a hot dog, and a soda, is $19. It is $125 for my son and I to go to one football game. Why don't you offer any cheaper seats? How about offering a limited number of seats at $20 each or a package that includes food and parking? My son is begging to go to a game, except I simply can't afford to take him. What do you think?

Please take your has been partners and your fag artist and get them the hell out of our stadium. You may sell more tickets but the people in the stands will not be FANS! Is that what you want? I'm sorry, but when I'm there I want to be surrounded by FANS only. And I only want to see aqua and orange!!!!! Please step up and be a man and tell us whats going on.

Please give us our old fight song back. And please stop making the team a joke. And stop making "special" areas for the stars, what about the Dolfans that loved the dolphins even when they were 1-15? Why not do something special for us?
Posted by: Susie McGee | August 24, 2009 2:26 PM
I understand that Mr. Ross is trying to make the Dolphins a more "modern" team - but some times history should not be toyed with. Instead of focusing so much on bringing in the cosmetic "owners" and changing/downgrading fight songs and selling the name of the stadium like some prostitue - why not worry about improving the actual stadium? The commisioner says if we want another Super Bowl it has to be done - change out the rusted seats with the busted cup holders. Make sure that the escalators to the club level are working; the 400 level goes without mentioning. Put the fries back in the Chicken Tender basket instead of trying to hustle us for another $5 dollars when the Tenders are already $9. How about some wait service to the club level seat holders?

At the risk of sounding cynical, here is a hypo:
There is one "slice" of ownership left. A celebrity offers asking price and a Non-celebrity offers more (how much more shouldn't matter, more is more). Which offer would Mr. Ross take.

You need to return the old fight song to us. Tell T.Pain thanks for the attempted amusement, but that's it. Return the legacy, return the tradition, return the heritage. Those things you are not allowed to disrupt as a new owner. Also, tame the "entertainment," you've installed thus far. We lose Bill Parcells due to all the fluff, there's only one person to blame. There's only one entertainment I am concerned with in paying to go to games, fantastic winning product on the field. Parcells has given us that.
Posted by: Brandon | August 24, 2009 2:09 PM
I cannot believe what you are doing to my beloved Miami Dolphins. Selling off pieces of shares of the team to entertainment faces is not the answer. A good owner thinks about building up the team before anything else. You are thinking about making an extra dollar. Do Miami fans a favor and sell your shares to a guy who has football on his mind rather then a guy like yourself who would rather have a better halftime show.

Dear Mr. Ross-
One question and one comment- question first:
In order to enhance our home field advantage and make Land Shark Stadium louder, could you tell me if there are any plans to move the seats closer to the field once the Marlins move out? It would stand to increase the noise level in the stadium, and make our home field advantage that much stronger.
Also- many of the fans, including myself, don't like the new fight songs- either of them. I'm not a fan of the original either, but I speak not only for myself but many other Dolfans when I ask you to please just play the old fight song after Dolphins scores from now on. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Erich Hoffman

Dear Mr. Ross:
Why has all of your focus and attention been on the "entertainment" at the stadium. There already is entertainment...it's called the game. Quit selling off pieces of our beloved team to people that know nothing about the game. If ever there is a battle of the NFL bands we've got it won but when will there be a press conference about the actual game or players? Why do people in the stands need hand held playback devices? How much did that raise prices. We are already among the most expensive in the NFL.And why do you feel that the fight song needs to be changed? Jimmy Buffet doesn't deserve to be associated with the team and his song will put people to sleep. The TPain/Pitbull song sounds like you are stuck at a never ending kids birthday party. Please stop focusing on things that shouldn't be done and focus on the player and the game. Can we at least keep our fight song?

I have been a season ticket holder for the better part of the last 30 years (including the Orange Bowl days). Is it possible to put an immediate end to the infantile "Fins Up" nonsense thats been going on during time-outs. Its completely rediculous, and probably the biggest embarrassment to the organization since Dave Wannstedt. The real fans interested in the game don't need or want this hokey garbage, and that certainly isn't the way to attract new fans to the stadium.
Posted by: stopthenonsense | August 24, 2009 1:47 PM
Dear Mr. Ross,
I was a long standing club season ticket holder for over 16 years before I decided to give them up due to the rising price of the seats. The question I now have is why are you turning this great dolphin franchise into a JOKE as far as owneership is concerned? Why would you now have Gloria Estevan and possibly the Williams sisters as a owner? To me this is a complete JOKE. The Williams sisters are a joke. When they loose, they never give their opponents there due. It's Always that they are injured or they just did not play well. Please do no turn this great franchise into a circus act. I am appalled that this is happening. Keep the coach and front office in place and this team will eventually become a dynasty. Good luck!!!
