Just to correct phishface, the fight song isn'rt ripped off from the Houston Oilers. The song was written by a Fin fan for the Dolphins. Robbie didn't want to pay for the song so the guy went and changed it and sold a new version to the Oilers. The original was and is the Dolphin version.

Here's the problem - THE SONG SUCKS AND IT ALWASY HAS, and the idiotic, moronic, assinine traditionalists who hate any change are responsible for this. Most Dolphans desperately want a new song that rocks - a song that sounds like it would inspire a team to fight for supremacy. Something inspiring and menacing at the same time instead of this Sesame Street kids ditty that we ripped off from the Houston Oilers. So, T-Pain, who's "Low, Low, Low" shows us that he could have brought the goods, instead gives us the Kanye pussy version of the same old crappy song. Jimmy Buffet's song is considerably better in that at least it's not that embarassing crapfest we call the Dolphins Fight Song, but nevertheless it's still old and rehashed. What we need is a NEW song all together, performed by a band like Motley Crue (Vince Neal is a DolFan), or Avenged Sevenfold, with a little bit of Big Boi metal rap thrown in. I can tell you're a writer and not a musician. You wrote he "kept the song’s lyrics and tune in tact." Lyrics yes, tune NO! OK, it basically follows the previous melody but is only about 70% accurate which only makes it annoying! Now you're going to have a mixture of young and old singing the version they each know and make a real mess of things. This new version is TERRIBLE and I hope it just goes away.

I really hope they do not torture us with this auto-tune version of the fight song. There is so much noise pollution at the game already. They should just allow the players and fans to make the noise, not the LOUD speakers. Anyway, if they do decide to play this crap, I will have my earplugs ready.

Adam S - point well taken. Thanks for correcting me. I clearly don't know an autobox from a .. well, you get the idea. I wouldn't worry about Fins replacing the fight song. This is all a work in progress, obviously... Stay tuned.

This is a great move by the dolphins organization. The team is gradually changing just like the city. Nice way to keep it upbeat. To all the naysayers please just stay off of the comments section. you obviously arent true fans or you would support what they're trying to do for miami.

T-Pains version is awesome. I think he's great too. What a wonderful move by the dolphins. I'm a season ticket holder for 10 years and my kids love him. I'm surprised the dolphins finally made the correct affiliation. Go fins baby

I am a true native Floridian born and raised ….not a newbie.. I have been a fan for years - through the good and not so good times.. we live in a diverse culture, party city…
I think these changes bring about new refreshing fan experience. True to our city... a blend of tradition, mixed with multi cultures can unite us in the stands as well as on the field.

I think the upbeat song is a great… and look forward to a new refreshed look, sound and winning team this year.

Well, let's break it down.

First of all, it is an "autotune" R&B version, not a techno version. :) Just a point of correction.

Secondly, it sucks. If they are going to do an updated fight song with T-Pain, it should at least have a solid beat. It still has the same sing-songy sound to it as the old one.

Didn't mind the old one because it was tradition. But it is a fight song - meaning it should be played after EVERY TD, not in a rotation along with "Fins" which is also too long to be a fight song.

Marketing department needs to do a good job on this.
