Ask Len
From Carl in Danville:
Len - if you could pick one broadcast job out there for any team, what team would that be? Did you have any reservations coming into this season and if so, what were they? Lastly, how nervous were you really coming into your first game?
Great questions Carl. 1) I have the best play-by-play not only in baseball, but in sports, IMO. I honestly never dreamed I would ever have the chance to call Cubs games on WGN, but luckily, I was in the right place at the right time. 2) How nervous was I? Tough to answer, but I can say that I always have butterflies on game day. ALWAYS. It's that adrenaline that I get before going on the air that helps me stay sharp throughout the game. Actually, I've been more nervous at home just THINKING about the enormity of this job than I've been in the booth! It's like, "Wow, I can't believe this isn't a dream!"

Hey Len, I was in Atlanta for the 2 game series on Wed and Thurs. I am a 30 year old life long Cub fan, born and raised in Chicago. I caught a live drive foul ball in the 9th off of Felix Pie's bat. I wanted to see the replay because a few friends saw it, however, on MLB.COM they have the TBS broadcast. Where can I see that game with you and Bob and WGN's version? Thank You very much...I was also told you guys said that was a great catch by a fan, so thanx again!

Hi Len what would have happened to the suspended game against the Pirates the Cubs won because of the new rule if the two teams did not play again the next day or say play again the whole year,Thanks Alan

Len,
What are the chances of Griffey Jr. being traded to the cubs. If so do you think he could turn the season around. Are there even any chances of the cubs making the playoffs

I think they should put electric fence wire around the stands from keeping people from interference

Len,
Why are there two circles between the batters box and the on deck circles?

The fundamentals for Cubs still stink!!!! August 23rd Ward getting picked off of second ruined two runs that makes final 4 3. Whens enough enough? Why dont we like to sweep anyone either? We win series's but we dont sweep. We can face the worst pitcher and still lose. Todays game what a bore!

I have been a cubs fan for a long time. Since I've learned about the game of baseball. it affects me the most when we lose the easiest games to win.And since I dont have cable I'm jonesin to see a cubs game and for some unknown reason I live in a city that does not care to much for the cubs (san antonio) it does not get alot of cubs games brodcasted. So all I want to know is do you think we could we win it all this year a yes would be great but honesty is the policy please anwser a dieing cubs fan
