Game Notes for Sunday

* Greg Maddux (0-1, 7.20 ERA) faces lefthander Mark Redman (1-0, 1.50 ERA) in the series finale at PNC Park.

* Maddux has been plagued by the home run ball again this year. After giving up a career-high 35 last season, he has been touched for 4 HRs in his two starts in 2005.

* Maddux is 24-13 lifetime vs. the Pirates with a 2.50 ERA.

* Redman has had a strong start to his season, including Tuesday's win over Milwaukee where he went six innings, allowing five hits and two runs to earn the win.

* Nomar Garciaparra is the leading Cub hitter against Redman, going a career 9/15 with 3 doubles and a HR. Jeromy Burnitz is 4/12 with a HR and Derek Lee is 2/5.

* The Cubs hope a win today will get them on the road to repeating their 2004 success against the Pirates when they went 13-5.
