Game Notes for Tuesday

*Carlos Zambrano (2-0, 4.31) leads off the series in Milwaukee tonight against Brewer lefty Chris Capuano (1-2, 4.76). Zambrano's best effort of the year came April 9 against the Brew Crew when he threw one-hit ball for 7.1 innings at Wrigley Field. Zambrano has a 1.71 ERA in his last seven starts vs. the Brewers, allowing just one home run in those contests.

*Capuano started agains the Cubs on April 8, going 5.1 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. Capuano has a 14.73 ERA in his last three starts vs. the Cubs. Chicago batters are 8/17 (.471) with runners in scoring position in those contests, with 4 HRs and 17 RBI.

*The Brewers are on a 4-game winning streak(including 3 one-run wins), but are only 5-6 at Miller Park this year. They are next-to-last in the NL with .242 team batting average, 13th in overall fielding percentage, but 6th in team ERA at 3.91.

*Zambrano will have to cool off Lyle Overbay, who is 9/11 with 3 homers since missing a few days with a gash on his left jaw. Overbay set a career with five hits on Sunday.

*Derrek Lee hopes to stay hot - he is 5/10 against Capuano with 8 RBIs in their career meetings. Lee is batting .490 during his current 13-game hitting streak. Lee also has four HR and 13 RBI in his last six games.

*Michael Barrett is batting .429 in his last six games, raising his average from .167 to .240.

*Happy Birthday to Cubs starter (yes, he's still in the rotation) Ryan Dempster who turns 28 today.
