Hey Man, Got Any Pod?

Welcome to Len & Bob's Podcast, sponsored by AT&T Home Turf, where our guys take time every week to talk about some baseball things we can't get to in the course of our broadcasts. This week, we have a fun podcast for you which can be downloaded to your iPod or mp3 player in the audio format, or you can watch our intrepid announcers via the video version, or you can call it up on your computer and enjoy it at your desk.

This week we have a surprise for Bob, handling the heat wave, and a special guest for the podcast. Baseball collector Seth Swirsky visits with Len and shows off one of his prized possessions - the ball used for the last out of the last Cubs World Series in 1945. As always, thanks for watching and listening to Len & Bob's weekly podcast and thanks to AT&T Home Turf.

With so many broken bats in major league baseball I wonder if a significant cause might be the fact that most, if not all, of the major league players used metal bats prior to advancing to the major leagues. They were probably never taught to hold the bat with the trademark toward them as those of us in the 60 plus age group were taught as kids.

I think this was the best podcast this week so it was good this week.

go cubs!!!

Kevin, I agree with your assessment. The broken bat situation is just one of the things these guys never learned. They also never learned how to play the game. Oh, well-- I'm sure the players don't care if they win or lose. If they did they would change their approach and put out some effort.
