Ron Santo's Next Chance For The Hall
The Baseball Hall of Fame announced their list of 27 former players and 15 former managers who will be on the ballot for the 2007 Hall of Fame Veterans committee election, which will be held on February 27.
Of course, our own Ron Santo is on the list again. The voting is done by the living members of the Hall of Fame.
Here's where you can help: Fans wishing to voice their opinion in support of their favorite candidates may do so in two ways: by sending a single letter to Hall of Fame Veterans Committee, 25 Main Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326, or by logging on to baseballhalloffame.org and sending an e-mail. The Hall of Fame does not forward petitions to the voting members, but makes all correspondence known to any interested voting members, as well as to the Screening Committee members and Historical Overview Committee members.

You can also sign the offical petition that is being sent to the Veterans Committee monthly at SantoForHall.com.

LAST NIGHT (15 AUG)I WATCHED YOUR RAIN DELAY SHOW. THE COMMENT WAS MADE, BY YOUR GUEST (A NEWSPAPER WRITER), HOW GOOD THE CUBS BULL PEN HAS BEEN THIS YEAR. NEITHER OF YOU CHOSE TO COMMENT ON THIS PERSON'S STATEMENT.
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THE CUBS BULL PEN HAS PERFORMED WELL IN 2007? IF SO, THEN YOU AND I HAVE BEEN WATCHING TWO DIFFERENT CUBS' BULL PENS. IF THE CUBS DID HAVE A GOOD BULL PEN, THEN THE CUBS WOULD HAVE WON MANY MORE GAMES THAN THEY HAVE. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR THE BULL PEN TO HOLD A LEAD!!! SINCE YOU ARE ALWAYS STATING STATS, WHY NOT GET STATS ON HOW MANY GAMES THE PEN HAS WON AND LOST DURING THE YEAR AFTER THE STARTING PITCHER HAS LEFT THE GAME WITH A LEAD. ONCE YOU POSSESS THIS DATA, ANNOUNCE IT OVER THE AIR.
I'VE BEEN A CUB FAN SINCE 1942 AND ATTENDED A CUBS 1945 WORLD SERIES GAME. SO I DO HAVE A BIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND FIDELITY ON WHAT I WRITE.
ADDITIONALLY, I'VE WATCHED THE CUBS ON WGN SINCE 1949. AT ONE TIME A FAN COULD WATCH ALL CUBS AND SOX HOME GAMES ON WGN.UNTIL RECENTLY, THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR, ONE COULD WATCH ALL OF THE CUBS GAMES (HOME AND AWAY)ON WGN. NOW, THANKS TO ECONOMICS, WE'RE LUCKY TO GET TWO CUBS GAMES A WEEK TELEVISED OVER WGN. THANKS ALOT FOR LIMITING CUBS VIEWING TO THOSE OF US WHO NO LONGER RESIDE IN CHICAGOLAND.

Len and Bob are probably the worst announcers i've ever heard. Len has a voice that should be kept in a cave. I love how neither have a good understanding of baseball. Also, during cardinal games they constantly rip on Cardinals and on tonight's game even the cardinal fans. I can't wait to listen to see how they react when calling the last game of the Cubs season when they blow everything and don't win anything. Back to the pits next year!
