Formula Won

One of the great things we've seen during this Cub run over the last month are the ingredients for winning baseball and staying on a streak. The Cubs are staying away from those plays that give extra outs, that prolong innings, and that take them out of innings. It sounds simple, but as we saw early in the season, it isn't. It's amazing what that solid defense can do along with timely hitting and smart baseball.

There will be days where you tip your hat to the opposing pitcher or run into somebody who is tearing the cover off the ball. That happens. That's baseball. But if the Cubs can consistently stay away from the miscues that plagued them early in the year, there's no reason they can't stay on this roll. Let's hope last night was an aberration and we see that Cubbie swagger real soon.

BB you are so wise.

Yes, Bob, I couldn't agree with you more. The Cubs look like a winner lately. When they get behind in the beginning of a game I don't feel like I have to panic or get depressed because I know they're capable of coming back and winning. Keep up the good work, my Cubbies!

Just my thoughts:
If I could catch a ball, from Barry Bonds - I don't care how much it might be worth. I would print CHEATER on it and throw it back in at Wrigley. I could care less about its value - I would rather express many thousands of Basball Fans feelings. If Bonds deserves The Hall of Fame for Cheating then Pete Rose has earned it for Not Cheating.
Thanks for your time.... Go Cubs

I'm a huge fan of Len&Bob and THE CUBS. I have a question for you guys and need you to help me out. Am I correct in thinking that a runner cannot slide into first base? Please settle this dispute. Thanks.

I have an idea, when the Cubs clinch the pennant, maybe you could get "Billy Goat Siannis" to sing "Take me out of this ballgame"", or him and Bartman can do a duet.
