Game Notes For Tuesday vs. Reds

* The two teams have split their last 20 meetings, despite the fact that the Reds have committed 19 more errors (23-4) in those contests. * The Reds, who lead the majors with 88 home runs at home this season, have gone 13 straight home games without hitting multiple home runs. * The Cubs bullpen has now gone 19 straight games without a single save. * The Cubs are one of just two teams (Tampa Bay) that does not have a single save during the month of August. * Derrek Lee is one of five National Leaguers hitting at least 100 points better at home (.368) than on the road (.267) this season * Adam Dunn is tied for third among active players with 30 career HR versus the Cubs, but ranks first in home run frequency, going deep about every 11 at-bats (10.8) against Chicago. * Carlos Zambrano has allowed just four earned runs and 17 hits over his last six starts at Wrigley Field.

When you have your supposed ace on the mound and are playing the lowly Reds on your home field and can't beat them, you are done. To keep hoping other teams will help you out is a joke in itself. You all can continue to be blind homers but I'd rather deal in reality. I'm really tired of Len and Bob making excuses for this team.

LOL...Mr.S sure knows how to sugarcoat how he feels. I know I was alittle upset how that game went down...but I liked the way those guys battled back. Perhaps Lou left Zambrano in too long, or perhaps Harang was just that much better. But to start jumping ship after seeing a leak is kinda desperate and I don't think the Cubs are at that point.Once the team starts to win, those wins are gonna come in a bunch and they'll be right back where we had hoped they'd be.

I know HARANG-ATANG is one of the NL's best, but JESUS. When we get the homers.... they're SOLO shots!!! And while BIG Z didn't look stellar last night,
he pitched well enough to win against THAT BULLPEN. Why have we had such problems with the REDS and BUCCOS the past few years?????? Are these guys UP for these games???? And WHY wasn't FOX used last night when we were down by 1????? Weren't the odds of him homering off of WEATHERS better than KENDALL's?????
