Ron Santo Sings The Stretch

Comments

On June 29th, there was a major event that happened. There was a home run hit in the bottom of the ninth, which won the game.

The Cubs were 8 1/2 out at that time. You could see the difference in the players eyes. No longer were they hoping to win, but now they expect to win.

That makes them a very dangerous team. That home run was a mark on this teams history.

On Friday, August 3rd, another mark will be made.

The return of Kerry Wood. He is just one man, and he hasn't played at this level for about a year. But just the name will intimedate opposing batters.

Having Wood at Rigley Field isn't just another day, but it's another peice of the puzzle that the Cubs need.

When you have a team that thrives on confidence, adding Wood to the mix will only make you stronger, and more feared in the league.

This is a proud day for Cubbie Fans. We are getting one of our own back. Could the timing be any better?
