Setting Sail at 60

We're excited to do our first weekend of games on WGN Sports. Jon Lieber is back in a Cubs uniform and starts today in a split squad game vs. Arizona. Sean Marshall pitches in the other game at Oakland's complex in Phoenix.
We're celebrating our 60th anniversary of bringing you Cubs baseball on WGN Sports and we'll have more exciting news as the spring goes along about an upcoming documentary to air on WGN and a companion book as well. We are obviously hoping to cap our 60th anniversary season by calling a Cubs World Series Championship campaign and this team looks poised to make a serious run.
We also look forward to blogging regularly and tossing around some opinions, analysis, etc. as the season goes along.
So let's have a great season!
Len

Welcome back, guys! Sure missed you. I always cry the last day of the season to know that I have to do without my beloved Cubs for six months. Can't wait for this season to get underway.
Wish WGN would televise more--not less--games this year.

We're good enough to win the Central again thats for sure. The Central will once again be the worst division in baseball. Lest we forget the end of last year, where we got swept by a team that got swept by a team that got swept. We are projected to go 87-75 by the experts. Are we noticeably better than last years team? In some ways yes, and some no. Preseason World Season talk is awfully optimistic for a team only one season removed from a last place disaster.

Len say hello to the Cubs fans watching the game online here in the UK. Enjoy the commentary and comments from Bob and yourself, its makes it easier for us Cubbies fans across the pond.
We are looking forward to going to a few games (Dodgers and Rockies)in the last week of May when we visit Chicago just to see the Cubs.
