Bobby Dernier. He was great on the 84 Cubs. Led off the NLCS Game 1 with a HR enroute to a 13-1 win. I think I have the final correct. Sutcliffe, Matthews also homered that day.
I still hate Steve Garvey to this day. If I was on the Titanic, and someone said "We have a spot for you in the lifeboat next to Steve Garvey". I would have told them- "I'll wait for the rescue ship to come along."
Others to make the list.....
Bill Laimbeer
Eric Show
Dennis Rodman- pre Bulls
Bob Probert- pre Hawks.
Mark Prior- new addition.
Anyone to ever don a STL Cardinal hat.

Let me make a bold prediction. The Cubs arent going to make the playoffs this yr. Boy, is that climbing out on a limb or what!
Remember rah-rah Cub fans, our clever Cubbies have not made the playoffs in back-to-back yrs in a very long time. Why should this yr be any different? Maybe their excuse this time is they're living off their laurels of winning 80-some ballgames b4 crashing out in the first round of the playoffs. What a great accomplishment! Ha!
So far there's been a lot of competition for the Bonehead Award. However, let's give it to my least favorite Cubbie: stat-hound Alflubbo Sorry-clowno. This guy makes me sick. Not only does he not hustle, he's currently 0-9 with 3 strikeouts. What do the Cubs pay this guy? $143mil, even though Wash, TX and the Yanks didnt want him. Great move Hendrie!!!
Now, I only watch the Cubs in passing, and I've elected to do things that are more interesting: income taxes, scrubbing the shower and re-arranging my socks drawer.
But I am pleased with Len and Bob. Apparently, they took my advice from last yr and are not giving these clowns a free pass this yr. They're actually calling it as they see it, and not sugar-coating the infinite weaknesses of this club. Good job guys! At least somebody at Wrigley's doing their jobs properly this yr.
Meanwhile, its back to European soccer, where more Americans are employed than MLB, not to mention playing solataire with deck of 51, counting flowers on the wall...well, you guys know the routine. At least its more entertaining than the 2008 Cubs.
More later, as I'm sure you're sitting on the edge of your chairs waiting...esp you rah-rah rabid Cubs fans. Still, I love you all. But wasnt it somebody who said,
"...misery loves company..." Yeah, that's the ticket!
