Game Notes For Tuesday vs. Brewers

* These two teams have split their last 50 meetings at 25 wins apiece. At the end of this series, barring a rainout, 12 straight meetings will have been played in Chicago. * The Cubs will be looking for home win No. 11 on Tuesday. Last season they didn’t capture their 11th home victory until June 3. * The Brewers are one of just three teams (Twins and Giants the others) who have not received a single home run from their #3 hitters so far this season. * The Cubs have averaged an NL-high 7.9 runs per game in their victories this season, compared to just 2.1 runs in their losses. * Ben Sheets has held the opposition without a single run in three of his four starts this season. His 0.96 ERA and .146 opponent batting average lead the National League so far this season. * Since 1956, only one rookie (Ben Grieve, 49 in 1998) has reached base more times by the end of April than Kosuke Fukudome (48) has this season.

I have a question about Ben Sheets and balking. After every pitch, when he recieves the ball back from the catcher, he wipes his forehead and under his hat and then doesnt wipe off his hand. He then proceeds to touch and grip the ball. I have noticed he does it both off the mound and even on the mound/rubber. Shouldn't that be considered a balk? Just like if u lick your fingers? Thanks and Go Cubs!

What a pathetic effort in every phase...pitching, coaching and heart....1-4 against your closest division rival in your own home park. Where are all the Cub Kool-Aid drinkers at? I want to hear the spin after losing 2 out of 3 to the worst team in baseball and then come home and fart in the wind. When the truth is spoken, there isn't any legitimate spin, just Kool-Aid drinkers.
