Well.. we have the FATHERS in town and they are NOT scoring any runs. Let's hope the OFFENSE stays hot and our starting pitching gives us a chance each game. We should have the advantage and ALL games won this time of year are one's we won't need in September.

Yesterday, Len was attempting to explain the 1/2 game margin. The best way I can think to explain it is in the inverse. The Cubs are 23 and 15 and the Cardinals are 23 and 17. If the Cubs lose the next game and the Cardinals win the next game --against opposing teams-- then they will be tied for first place: Hypothetically, if the Cubs lose their next game and go 23 and 16 and the Cardinals win their next game and go 24 and 17 the two teams will be tied for first place. It only takes one game for such an even to occur ... which is why the Cubs lead the Cardinals by 2 wins and are only up on them by 1 game.
Come to think of it. It is pretty confusing.
