The Diamonds Are Back

When you take a look at the Diamondbacks, it's pretty easy to see they do all things well. It’s close to a juggernaut right now with this team and they are really young as well. With Brandon Webb, Dan Haren, Micah Owings and Randy Johnsonhave a few aces on this staff. One thing about Haren is that he is profiting the 1st time around the National League this year - we saw that with Ted Lilly last year.
One good thing is Cubs have played much better at home, especially hitting the tar out of the ball. Hopefully that home field advantage we've been looking for is here to stay and shows up this weekend.

Go Cubs! This is the series to show them who WE are!! Question: The uncontestided stolen base by the D Banks....is that go against Sotos caught stealing base runners percentage?? Thanks!

LILLY was AWESOME today!!! Now we are in a position to win the series!! My only concern is KOSUKE's cooling off... is the league adjusting to him or is he not adjusting to the league??

Today was a good win. Lilly begun looking like 2007 Lilly again (although during the 1st inning I thought I was going to throw my t.v. over the right field wall if we had a replay of wednesday). These are the type of games 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, etc what we have to win. Then I got the joy of watching the red turds give two up to the screwers in the bottom of the 9th. One of the few times I'll be happy to see those sorry bunch of losers win... Now let's win tomorrow and finally take a series after losing the last 4....

Hey, Kenny, about your question. I believe that it will be a caught stealing for Soto, because if he wasn't interfiered with, he would've caught the guy. So yes, he does get a caught stealing.
Man, they got by Dan Haren. I think that they should now be able to sweep the D'backs. I mean, Szherzer (forgive me if i spelled that wrong) is a rookie, and hopefully be able to rock him around. And as for Randy Johnson, nothing agaisnt him, but he's a has-been. He used to be great, but he isn't that good, and hopefully he wont toss another perfect game. I'd be suprised if they don't sweep the d'bakcs.
GO CUBS!!!

Kenny, I'm afraid I had to translate your question into English, so if I misunderstood what you meant by an 'uncontestided stolen base by the D Banks' don't blame me. However, I believe you're referring to the baseball concept of Defensive Indifference. Technically, it's listed as a fielder's choice, yet DOES NOT go against Soto's caught stealing percentage. I quote:
"...the official scorer shall not score a stolen base when a runner advances solely because of the defensive team's indifference to the runner’s advance. The official scorer shall score such a play as a fielder's choice."
Thus, in baseball vernacular, a player is neither awarded a stolen base nor is it counted against the catcher's stats. It's Rule 10.07(g) in the baseball rule book. Great question...I think! Go Cubs!
