That's what teammate Greg Ellis says about the Cowboys' veteran strong safety.
Ellis says that's why Williams seems to be distancing himself from some teammates in recent weeks.
Um, Greg, there's a good reason Williams isn't comfortable with head coach Wade Phillips' system. It's because Williams has been a liability in pass coverage throughout his NFL career. So, for all the hard hits and the horse-collar tackles, the bottom line is that Williams' ability as a defensive back leave plenty to be desired.

Finally, someone tells it like it is about Williams! He's an intimidating hard-hitter, which helps when covering shy receivers who don't like contact, but he often blows coverage and lets up big plays.
He's the NFL's version of Jason Giambi - all or nothing. With Giambi, it's one home run and three strikeouts a game. With Williams, one hard hit (or horse collar tackle) and three deep bombs allowed.
I agree. The state of the safety position in the NFC must be in sorry shape if this one dimensional player is constantly voted to the pro bowl. But thats just a popularity contest. The fact that he was actually voted as an All Pro player once is more alarming.
