That's what Colts coach Tony Dungy says of his quarterback, who is still recovering from knee surgery.
Manning finally showed up at Colts camp today, and explained that he's anxious to resume practice. But he could offer no timetable about when he'll be back.
Meanwhile, Dungy said his guess is that Manning will be ready for the Sept. 7 opener. But he could offer no assurances. If Manning doesn't play, it would be the first time he's missed a game in his entire career.
In answer to your next question: His name is Jim Sorgi.

Little typo you have here:
"Dungy said his guess is that Favre will be ready for the Sept. 7 opener"
lol Favre? Thought you were talking about Manning?

Steve B.
That is hilarious. Yes, Favre has invaded every waking thought ... especially as I sat down to type that blog post moments before diving into - what else? - another Favre column for the newspaper.
Will be in Miami on the Favreth of September - of course.
I do have to say the orginal concept came from Frank Caliendo, he was on Mike and Mike after the Favre trade (w/John Madden's voice of course) every four number he said was favre.
However the statement i'm proud to say is all mine =P
