Mantz predicts the Cardinals will cover ...
Fine.
He's 8-2 in his playoff picks, and he has told the world about 80 times of this stat. He just did it again today.
Only one question now that he picks the Cardinals to cover the spread: Who the hell wins the game?
Actually, we can't be too mad at Mantz. The guy did get us a Mantz/Deadspin shoutout on our Eric Mangini ripping down the Browns history item. And if we behave, maybe he'll do something on our item that indicates Mangini did much the same when he got to the Jets.

Who the hell wins the game?
Who the hell cares?
I will be rooting for the Steelers as my brother Michael is a med student
in Pittsburgh.
Mantz:
This is not my official pick, but I tend to agree with you on the cover aspect. I like the Cardinals to beat the 7-point spread.
Unlike you, however, I will pick a winner later in the week.
No Bob, given your record in the postseason thus far, you will simply make a pick later in the week.
The odds are excellent that you will not be picking a winner.
How's that Whisenhunt article coming?
At this point in time, I am looking forward to Pulitzer worthy stuff.
I'm sorry to say this, but I smell a blowout in the big game. I've picked the Cards to lose every game in this postseason, and I'm not going to stop now. In fact, this one won't even be close. It was a nice run, but the birdies fall from the sky against the best defense since that Ravens Super Bowl Team (2000?). Ben Roethlisberger will make plays in the passing game against a rookie CB (Rodgers-Cromartie), and a mediocre CB that doesn't scare anyone (Roderick Hood). I just don't see this one being close in the end. My early pick is 27-10 Steelers.
