1. Brandon Jacobs isn't going anywhere. The Giants placed the franchise tag on their free-agent-to-be running back, essentially guaranteeing he'll be in a Giants uniform for at least this season. And probably for years to come, because they're expected to work out a long-term contract agreement.
2. The Falcons are ready to talk trade with Michael Vick, who is due to get out of the slammer in late July.
3. Times are tough these days, even with the NFL. commissioner. Roger Goodell is taking a pay cut of up to 25 percent.
4. Mike Martz feels he's being blackballed by the NFL. Memo to Martz: Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
5. The Titans believe they have enough dough to retain All Pro defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.

Thank goodness the Giants can keep Jacobs, now if they can keep Bradshaw too.
Somebody will take a chance on Vick, the QB's in the NFL are so wretched this is almost guaranteed.
Most of the people who the NFL offered buyouts to refused them, ergo somebody's salary had to be reduced.
With Jacobs now back in the fold, you figure that the Giants will try to re-sign Derrick Ward. But Ward is going to get a much better offer from other teams than the Gaints so Ward is porbably not coming back.
Vick will get another chance to play quarterback in the NFL. Quarterback in football is like pitching in baseball in that there is a lack good players at those position. Vick also needs the money since he owes people a lot of money.
The PSLs on my two Jets seats looked like they were
going to run 4k per when the diagram was out in the paper
a few months ago. They're really going to run 15k per - so
that is that after next year anyway. But Michael Vick, personally,
is the one player that if he were on the Jets - I'd wipe my hands of the
org completely and would root for, I dunno, the Eagles? :)
RB, WR, QB - Mike Vick can have a nice life elsewhere.
