Lovie Smith might be on the hot seat
An interesting read from the Chicago Tribune's David Haugh, who suggests that the Bears' head coach will need a big season to keep his job beyond 2009. There's been no formal win-or-else edict from general manager Jerry Angelo. But Haugh suggests that Angelo's belief that the team doesn't need a makeover - and thus won't dive into free agency in a big way - means that the heat's on Smith to turn the team around this season.
