Semi-famous sportswriter to watch son play in SB XLIII
Pro football writers usually spend their Friday at the Super Bowl writing furiously to meet deadlines for the Sunday paper (and now write even more if they have a blog).
Larry Fitzgerald Sr. had a bit more responsibility than that. He conducted dozens of interviews this week about his son, Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr. We caught up to the dad on Friday. I asked if I was catching him at a bad time.
"I'm just writing," he said.
Mr. Fitzgerald offered insight into what it's like to cover his own kid in the big game, although he had trouble coming up with just one word to describe it.
