Injured in a car crash, LSU's Demetrius Byrd drafted
The Chargers drafted LSU wideout Demetrius Byrd, who was severely injured in a one-car crash last Sunday in Miami, with the 224th pick yesterday.
Byrd was upgraded to good condition on Friday, five days after he was admitted to a Miami hospital in critical condition. The accident occurred last Sunday when a tire blew out and Byrd's car hit a utility pole.
