Brett Favre: On again, off again ... on again!!!

The Vikings' president, Mark Wilf, said at a community event today that the team is interested in Brett Favre, who is 39 years old, has announced his retirement twice, has a torn biceps, has thrown 13 touchdowns and 31 interceptions in December and January regular season games over the last four years, and ... oh, you know how we feel about it.
As long as there's some team willing to give him a shot, then Favre will not go away any time soon.
I just wish they'd go ahead and get the deal done. Enough of this off-season nonsense already.
(Glauber Nation kudos to whoever can identify the person in the picture and why we put him up with this post.)

Bob: I believe the gentleman in the picture is P.T. Barnum who coined the phrase "There's a sucker born every minute!"
Quite appropriate for the Favre Saga.
This guy is gonna play for as many more years as a team is willing to sign him and if that is what he wants, then fine. This guy is turning into what Steve Carlton was the last few years of his baseball career. If healthy, he's a good fit for the Vikings, knows the staff, division, great running game, two good WRs in Berrian and Harvin, plus he can play a minimum of 9 indoor games(8 in metrodome and one in Ford Field). As a Jet fan, let him go wherever he wants.
I have a lot of Vikings fans living here and I know most of them aren't the least bit interested in having Brett Favre play for the Vikings. They hate his guts. I think it might be the same situation as to when Favre wanted the Packers to sign Randy Moss

Right you are, sir.

You are absolutely correct that Favre will continue playing as long as someone is interested. If he's healthy, he can theoretically be a good fit for several teams. But he's not healthy, and he should stay retired. I expect that will not be the case, however.
Sandy:
Thanks, as always.
