Mangini already leading towards Brady Quinn
Eric Mangini has tipped his cap regarding the quarterback situation in Cleveland, saying that Brady Quinn will get the first-team reps during the last day of voluntary minicamp today.
Said Mangini to James Walker of ESPN.com: "Brady will get the first reps today. He started with the first reps on Wednesday, and that's because he's done a really outstanding job in the offseason program. Not that Derek hasn't done well, but [Quinn] gets the first reps."
Mangini warned not to read too much into the move, but it appears he's already taking a liking to the third-year man out of Notre Dame.
Last season, Mangini was tight-lipped about who he favored in the Chad Pennington-Kellen Clemens QB battle well into training camp (though many speculated Pennington was in the lead). And it became a non-issue when old No. 4 arrived.
