Report: Brett Favre's shoulder injury still an issue

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that there are concerns Brett Favre's shoulder injury might be worse than feared, and could ultimately derail any bid to make a comeback with the Vikings.

(One can only hope.)

I thought the Jets “Favre experiment” was worth the gamble coming out of his last season in Green Bay. I admit I didn’t know about his previous end of season swan dives. Should that be “diva” dives? LOL

Anyways, he did what he’s done for the last 5 yrs and reverted back to his undisciplined style of play with a bum arm, no less, and cost us a shot at the playoffs.

I also have to mention that the slide also coincided with the Shaun Ellis pot bust the day before the Denver game, so who knows if that messed up the vibe they had going on after beating TN and NE and winning 5 in a row.

His iron man streak of 269 consecutive regular-season games starts is just 13 games short of matching Jim Marshall’s 282 games (nobody counts “stupid punter” consecutive start records, sorry Feagles). I have to think that the way he plays hurt to the detriment of any team, that this record is what he truly covets.

I think that he will return to play for the Vikes, if he can do his diva thing one more year. That means little or no training camp, gun slinging, playing even if too beat up to win season, and being the center of attention which it appears he can’t seem to do without.

Good luck, Vikes! History shows that you’ll come close and ultimately end up a car wreck at the end of the season.

Give please. I am more and more convinced that our happiness or unhappiness depends more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves. Help me!
