Agent: Five teams - and counting - interested in Burress
As NFL commissioner Roger Goodell begins a review of the Plaxico Burress situation and his possible violation of the league's personal conduct policy, Burress' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, reports that five teams are now interested in Burress' services.
Burress, 31, has a Sept. 23 court date in connection with last November's self-shooting at a Manhattan nightclub. His attorney, Benjamin Brafman, has so far been unable to strike a deal with New York City prosecutors studying the case. Burress has appeared in court twice, only to have the matter delayed.
Rosenhaus said on his Twitter account moments ago that "there are 5 teams interested in Plaxico. I expect more teams to enter the mix over the next few weeks as well."
The Jets, Buccaneers and Bears have already shown interest in Burress.

Actually the Bears are in need of Plax much more then the Bucs or Jets. Hester is their #1 WR and besides him they have no one. I think somehow he ends up with the Bears. But i think the Jets will make a strong run at him. I hope not and just read that Rex and Mr. T are split when it comes to Plax. The story said Rex dosn't want him and i agree with him. I don't care how good a player might be for a position that a team needs. A rookie QB and 1st year HC doesn't need a headache like Plax. Keller will be their #2 WR/TE and will catch 70 passes The Jets need t find a blocking TE they can count on before they worry about a WR. If they can't run the ball Sanchez or kellen will be in big trouble..
