He's In A Meeting...

That'd be Jerry Reese and Tony Agnone, the agent for both Shaun O'Hara and Michael Strahan. Agnone traveled to Giants Stadium from Maryland today to try and get O'Hara's deal done -- and to hear Reese say in person that Strahan won't be getting a big raise for missing half of last season.

Betting that O'Hara does get done by tonight's FA deadline, simply because both sides want to get it done and they're not terribly far apart.

If he doesn't stay, the name I heard as the in-house replacement would not be Rich Seubert. It's Chris Snee. Seubert, presumably, would move to Snee's right guard spot. Snee has taken snaps at center in practice.

Jay Feely is a goner, though. Reese and Co. like Josh Huston, the OSU alum whom they signed in January. We'll see how that works out.

Almost forgot to add that the Giants tendered three of their restricted FAs: S Gibril Wilson (second-round tender), LB Reggie Torbor (fourth round) and RB Derrick Ward (seventh).

Reese needs to do something. The Gmen need a lot of players. I don't care if they are 2nd tier players..guys like Roderick Hood need to be signed. THe only reason I would go against my philosophy of not paying huge money for Free agents is because with such a huge cap numbers now, all teams have money to spend and lock up or franchise most top notch players, the talent pool will continue to be week for yrs to come and the cap ISN'T GOING DOWN. If Clements wants 15 plus mil signing bonus the Giants can prorate that over 3-4 yrs. A 4-5 mil cap number for him is doable. MAKE SOME GOOD MOVES JERRY!!
