More Eli!

Strangely, this Eli-Tiki thing has legs... Go figure.

Tiki, last night on his Sirius radio show, said this:

"I tell things how I see them. And, point in fact, Dick Ebersol at NBC Sports hired me to be honest and fair and opinionated and that’s all I’m going to be."

And this:

“He also said that I didn’t have any heart and he could see it on the field. I guess I really would have been a Hall of Famer if I had played with heart instead of rushing for 1650 yards with no heart. Who knows?”

And this:

"And another thing that I think every Giants fan knows and why, in some ways, some things ring hollow that Eli said, is I have never, ever, ever not left 100% of myself on the football field. And you can say whatever you want but don’t say that because that’s offensive.”

Eli, of course, was asked to respond to the response to his response. And he said:

"What I said…this is kind of a done issue for me. I made some comments (on Wednesday) and now it’s over in my eyes. I don’t want to make it into a bigger deal, so I’ll try to end it as soon as possible."

And:

"I was just responding to what someone said and that’s it."

And about Tiki getting upset that Eli said Tiki had no heart? "What I read in some articles, that his heart wasn’t in it."

And:

"Well, I guess I’ve always been even-keeled, never really responded back, tried to always make things smooth and easy. And that’s probably the first time I’ve kind of fired back a little bit. It’s one of those things I felt the need to do. It just came out. I don’t know. It was just one of those deals where it seemed like the right thing to do.

"I’m fine talking with Tiki. If I see him, I’ll definitely talk to him, I’ll be friendly to him. I’m not trying to start something. That’s just the deal. It happened. Hopefully, when we see each other – and I’m sure we will – it won’t be awkward because I don’t want it to be."

And perhaps, that will be the end of this so-called spat... Unless Tiki has a blog update or does a podcast or has yet another outlet in his media empire to prolong this thing. Beware overexposure, Tiki -- it's the fastest way a media person such as yourself becomes irritating to the masses.

So, I think we're done here. There was a jog-through this morning, so tonight's practice will be the last full-speed one in Albany. I'll have more after that.

On the injury front, TC said Sinorice Moss (ankle) would be back tomorrow and Jeremy Shockey (hamstring) is still sore. Doubt either one will play on Saturday.

Tiki is already irritating. He was a great back for the Giants, but I don't find him compelling on television. The athletes that have success in broadcasting usually are full of personality -- John Madden, Tom Jackson, even Michael Irvin. Tiki is too polished, too contrived.

"Jeremy Shockey (hamstring) is still sore"

Of course. Is there any doubt that Shockey's injury will last until October, that he'll have mediocre numbers, and that a whole bunch of people will be saying "Shockey could have had great numbers except that he was injured". Happens every year.

I think Tiki has been on NBC for a total of 4 minutes and I'm already sick to death of him.

That was very classy that Eli decided to end it. The guy is turning into a true leader, something Tiki can only wish he was.

It's too late as far as i'm concerned with Tiki, he's irritating and I'm bored with his selfish act. Tiki could leanr a few things from Eli, like true class.

Isn't great how Tiki is gone, yet the Giant drama continues to unfold. Strahan and Tiki should focus on doing a soap opera as they certainly have plenty of experience.

Tiki is classless. He owes the majority of his success to TC. His best numbers came when Coughlin started teaching him how to hold onto a football. Before that, he cost us games. Even when he played he was classless, calling out his coach. What good does that do? What positives come out of that? The same can be said of calling out a former teammate. Learn to go out with class and dignity. When asked about Eli his response should have been reserved of negatives and complementary. Eli works his butt off and in the end will have the last word with his play. He doesn't entice media battles, he's humble, and has chosen to take the higher road in ending this fiasco. Something Tiki should learn, but just doesn't understand. Its always been about Tiki and that is why he will never get into the HOF and never be truly appreicated as a great Giant.

I hope Tiki wasnt over to the Vick house lately. Go on Eli get the goods on Tiki with Vick and his career would be over, but then again, you may have to lower your voice in the huddle a few octaves and complete a few more passes for TD's this year and hang on to those snaps from your center. And always remember that Tiki is now the enemy, he is nothing more than a yellow sports journalist or is he a paparazzi?

We should sign Trotter. Not to play, but to appear on Tiki's show. JT always seemed to shut "It's all about meKi" down in games. Maybe he can shut him up on TV too?

do not operate heavy machinery when listening to Tiki
