14 throws and a top 10: The FridayList

The first number is how many throws Eli made during the 30 minutes reporters were allowed to watch practice today.

He threw about 10 fades to a variety of receivers and a few short in-routes. There were a couple wobblers, but the in throws were straight and delivered with some velocity.

More later, when practice ends.

Now, a quick FridayList, since there's too much other stuff cookin... I admit I stole this concept from Blender, but that's the way it goes. Top 10 Most Overrated Bands/Musicians Ever:

10. The Arcade Fire -- I'm always leery when the cool kids tell you that you have to love a band... Just don't get the hype.

9. Foo Fighters -- Always liked 'em, but I was always waiting for something more.

8. 311 -- Why can't people just like Bob Marley instead?

7. The Police -- Great at the start, then progressively more and more disappointing. Sting's jazz odyssey period has been the last straw.

6. The Moody Blues -- Can't even think of the words to describe what they do to me. It isn't good.

5. The Eagles -- Though they do qualify in the Best Elevator Music category.

4. Aerosmith -- Unlistenable since Run-DMC dragged them out of the crack house.

3. Steely Dan -- I know I'm not alone in this (see Seth Rogen's riff about how much they suck in Knocked Up), but even in my mellowest moments I can think of 486 bands I'd rather be listening to.

2. Billy Joel -- Can't really say this around the NY area, but he should've retired after Glass Houses.

1. Pink Floyd -- No comment necessary. Worst ever.

See, Blauber? Didn't rip you or your beloved 8-track collection once.

From your rankings it seems that you have some really really bad taste in music, as Pink Floyd is one of if not the greatest band of all time. And part of the reason the coll kids talk about Arcade Fire is so we can help dorks like you. With all that being said, I really enjoy your blog and keep up the good work.

i know the whole focus this week has been on Eli and it should be but PLEASE lets not forget about other issues of the team.

can you please ask Tom today if there are going to be changes in the Defensive starters this week?? He said he will notify later in the week so ask him again today.

And is Aaron Ross going to play more given the secondary struggles?

I can't watch RW anymore and Ross needs to play and develop now!!! Revis and Hall are starting for their teams and they were drafted for needs so i dont understand why Ross would be moved from nickel over a 30+ year old wash out like RW.

Ross is 24 not 21 so he needs to play now. Plus our secondary STINKS and hes the 20th pick

Pink Floyd the worst ever? Are you out of your mind? If I can't trust you to appreciate one of the best bands in the world, how can I trust you with the mis-information coming from Giant land? Blue Screen here I come!

Can you stop posting the same copied post multiple times on multiple blogs? It's annoying as hell.

Signed, Everyone

can we stick to football please

Stick to the Jints, Artie... you clearly don't know dick about music.

OK, if you're going to post a list like that, man up and post your top 10 FAVORITE bands, so we know your basis for comparison.

311 on an overrated list? Who overrates them? Do enough people own their album to make the list?
How can you have a list and not put the Grateful Dead? As soon as I stopped doing drugs I realized they were. horrible!
As for the Giants, good news about Eli, maybe he still doesn't play this weekend, but sounds like that is it. GO GMEN!

Tk/Dave good points. Who in the heck does he like? I would like to see and rip them. And I am a 311 fan, and I didn't know they were rated at all? After their blue album (311), no one really bought their stuff except me...

Foo Fighters?? No, they are really good, listen to the whole sound and music.

The Police/Eagles-give you it.

No rap or heavy metal groups on the list? Ok...

Stick to football.

Ironic that you stole the concept from Blender and they're the ones pushing Arcade Fire. Is that why they're number 10?

Your a clown, have you ever heard pink floyd perform and lets have some giants stuff

Overall, Staple, a decent list. Never been much of a Pink Floyd fan, although looks like many of your fans are. Early Billy Joel is excellent. Captain Jack a must on the iPod. Go ahead and shoot me.

completely agree about the eagles and Floyd. I kinda like Steely Dan though. Peg always gets my happy feet moving.
