Players rushing for the airport

That was the overall tone of today's media access... Given that injured guys have to stick around for treatment, it was a good sign that most of the key vets had vacations booked rather than trips to Ronnie Barnes' training room for the remainder of the week.

Chalk Talk has turned into a midseason report card, so I'm happy to see all the opinions about the team's status heading into the bye week. We'll continue it tomorrow, when I'll give my own assessment and prediction for the second half.

Oh, and to get all your engines revved for the next couple days: I'm throwing open the doors to the next FridayList. Starting Thursday night, send in your favorites... Any topic, football or otherwise, long as it's not R-rated. I want to hear from you, people!

Oh, and I'll also be taking T-Dips' advice from a couple weeks back and welcome all questions pertaining to the very awesome job I have. Ask me anything -- again, as long as it's not R-rated.

Get your thinking caps on, gang.

FridayList "Players Movies/Movie Moments" - Each players favorite moment in a given movie.

Examples would include:
Eli Manning - League of Their Own - When the Big Sister (who's obviously better than little sister, might even best player in the league) lets little sister win the big game when she drops the ball during the big home plate collision.

Rich Suebert - The Natural - Robert Redford has a career ending injury, only to reinvent himself and come back to the sport he loved if not the same, better than before.

Brandon Jacobs - The Hulk - Obviously

Aaron Ross - Tommy Boy - Guy no one thought could save the day ends up doing just that.

Corey Webster - Black Sheep - Trys to replicate the success of Tommy Boy, but just isn't is as good.

Lawrence Tynes - Saving Private Ryan - Think of the first scene of in regards to D-Day. Tynes is standing at the bow of the ship as the metal gate falls down. AND . . . . .

Again Arthur, rather self-serving don't ya think?

But here's a question for ya...any shot the awful Jamie Butler reclaims his job from the speedy, hard hitting #43 Michael Johnson?! Hopefully not!!!

How about a Top Ten Favorite 2007 Giant (from this year's team as opposed to a Top Ten All-Time Favorite Giant)?

10.

3...
2. Fred Robbins the unsung hero of the defensive line.
1. Justin Tuck - the man most likely to one day replace Strahan.

And nice write-up in today's print edition - re: the midseason report. Excellent and objective assessment!

Friday list--potential landing spots for the BIGGEST fake, phony, fraud (courtest of the great Bob Grant) in sports--yes, we're talking about none other than Alex Rodriguez...

How about some info on where these guys are going on vacation to make me jealous as I sit in my cubicle.

I am happy that the team is 6-2 more then I expected.
Offence
1. O-Line A-
2. Running Game B+
3. Receiveing Game B+
3. QB B- (Was B+ Before he crossed the pond)

Defence
Line A-
LB's C (AP needs to chill)
DB C+ Prior to Ross coming on board
We are getting closer as a team but we lack the killer instinct, we don't need to be mass murders like the Pats but it would be nice to see us close the deal before the 2 min warning. This team still lacks maturity
P.S. The Jury is still out on coaching, especially after the mess in London, specifically the play calling
