And we're done

The Giants just used their final two picks, and unless the trade one of next year's selections to grab another team's seventh rounder (ha ha), they've assembled their incoming draft class.

The final two elements were Andre Woodson, the QB from Kentucky, and Robert Henderson, a DE from Southern Miss. Look for Woodson to wind up being the No. 3 QB behind Manning and Carr, taking the place of a fellow Kentucky hurler.

To recap the Giants' picks:

31: S Kenny Phillips, Miami
63: CB Terrell Thomas, USC
95: WR Mario Manningham, Michigan
123: LB Bryan Kehl, BYU
165: LB Jonathan Goff, Vanderbilt
198: QB Andre Woodson, Kentucky
199: DE Robert Henderson, Southern Miss

Your thoughts are always appreciated here!

Like the first 2 picks, it was obvious that our secondary was the weakest part on our team

WR Manningham, will be intresting, he has the talent, only character issues remain, but just look at Bradshaw, same type of situation

Good picks at LBers, needs some depth there

QB was an intresting pick, thought they would of went OL for more depth, maybe some trades will come with our great depth at QB (dont we have like 5 of them?)

And you can never have enough pass rushers, so DE is good with me

Like the selections except it will be upsetting to see the hefty lefty go.

I know the Giants needed depth at LB because of the guys that we lost in free agency, but since we signed Danny Clark in the off-season, do you think that fans can read into picking a DE and 2 LB's as a potential sign that Strahan might be leaning towards retirement and the team is going to move Kiwanuka back to DE so they can keep Tuck in the same versatile position that they used him in last year?

I hear the Giants will be able to free up two roster spots by releasing the "Hefty Lefty"! Personally, I don't know why they signed David Carr. He brings nothing to the table! Anthony Wright will be the first to go. Maybe they will keep Lorenzen and make him a FB? A LB?

TRock,

Because Jerry Reese had such a great draft last year, I think he should be given the benefit of any and every doubt when it comes to this year's draft. Having said that, I wonder if there is a question you could pose to Marc Ross, Tom Coughlin or him: Because you moved up in the 4th round to draft Kehl, the LB, why didn't you wait until the 4th round to draft Manningham and, if need be, trade up in the 4th round to draft him?

Regards
