Some of you were looking for a list of veteran players -- or at least those who aren't coming directly out of college -- who participated in this weekend's minicamp. Sorry it took a while, but here it is:

In my haste to get you the list of players this weekend in a comment a few posts down, I also breezed right over FB E.J. Barthel, a rookie from UMass.
Of course, today well probably start hearing about cuts and signings so most of those names will become irrelevent. But at least they appeared somewhere in this blog at some point.
And no, I'm not getting D'Antoni money out of this deal.

Jacob Hobbs set to sign with Giants
Schenectady's Jacob Hobbs will not have to stand behind a fence to watch the Giants practice this summer. That's because Jacob will be on the field.
Hobbs' agent Cal Robinson told Andrew Catalon that the Giants have offered Hobbs a two-year contract. Hobbs is expected to sign in the next few days.
The former UAlbany offensive lineman spent the weekend in New Jersey at Giants Rookie Camp. He will not be able to finish the season with the Albany Conquest.

While that's certainly a good sign for Hobbs -- and it would be nice to have someone show us around town during training camp -- I'll wait until the contract is signed to report on that. We ran into some trouble in this area after the draft when some players started saying they had signed with the Giants when they were only offered tryouts. But thanks for the update, Tom.
i heard that there were alot of good rookies out of no where one being ej. barthel who the star ledger said he made the play of the day i heard he is a beast!!! any more news on him?!
