Tom Coughlin stood in front of the group, wearing a dark suit, talking about the career of Michael Strahan. He relayed the thoughts of other players, recalled some of his own memories, and talked about how it "has been an honor to coach Michael Strahan."
I thought it looked and sounded like a eulogy. Apparently I wasn't the only one.
Because when Strahan finally stood up in front of the microphones, he joked that it seemed like the Giants were putting him in a box to bury him.
More later as I transcribe my notes and sort through it all. But just one point that Strahan made was that until about a month after the Super Bowl he was certain he would return for a 16th season. But then he got to wondering. "When I asked myself 'What's the purpose? What would it prove?' That's when I knew I was ready."

Michael Strahan will always be remembered as one of the greatest Giants ever.
Tuck has some big shoes to fill at end but I've got faith that he'll find a way get it done.
Td,
Right on! Everyone gets hung up on his sack numbers and forget that he was a monster against the run too. A very complete player. Im tired of the comparisons against the pure pass rushers because he could do it all.
tom rock, u r so bad compared to erik boland. why dont you take a look at how erik boland writes compared to how you did write for the jets and how you are writing for the giants. its crap. ur just lazy
