This receiver from Michigan looks good

No, not Manningham. I'm talking about Amani Toomer, who was the star player of the OTA (quite a feather in his cap, no doubt). He made two dazzling catches, one on a deep ball from Eli Manning in 7-on-7 drills over the outstretched hands of Corey Webster, then another a one-handed over-the-shoulder catch that also had Webster in coverage. Manning threw one other deep ball to Toomer, but it was broken up by first-round draft pick Kenny Phillips playing free safety.

More on Toomer in tomorrow's paper.

Sticking with the receiver theme for this post, Sinorice Moss looked sharp and made a nice catch on a low pass from Manning in 11-on-11s. He looked a little "Wizard of Oz"-ish in his red shoes, though. And Tyree, who burst into stardom in the Super Bowl, said he's not worried about his roster spot despite a career as a special-teamer and an injury that is keeping him sidelined until at least the start of training camp.

Nice. People want to hear about how Manningham did, and are already pretty sure about what Toomer does. Next time, if you headline the Michigan kid, have something about Manningham.

Qualifier: It's just OTA's.

If Toomer wiggled by Webster what would the top flight receivers do to the secondary?

rick,

I dont know, why dont you ask Owens and Moss!

Phil - Why don't you go to the practices if you want to nitpick about little things. Amani is an older player now and it's nice to know he still has a spark.

Nick... ah forget it. I second what True Blue said. It's almost not even worth giving you the light of day. Almost.

Good stuff Rock.
