I know it's not Friday where you work, but where I work it is. With the NFL week askew from the Thursday night opener, today is the last day of practice before the big game. We go out to the workout in a little while.
In case you didn't see it, the Giants have already listed LB Jonathan Goff and CB Terrell Thomas as out for Thursday's game. Interestingly, they made no such designation on Lawrence Tynes. Domenik Hixon is also on the injury report, but he's supposed to practice today and should be active on Thursday. Coughlin said he would probably use Hixon to spell Plaxico a little bit if Burress gets tired.
"Hixon has had a very good offseason and he certainly can be a guy that can help us in that time as Plaxico gets himself into full shape for the game, if you will, but he (Burress) has practiced three or four days in a row now and done well and taken the majority of the snaps, so I think he will be okay," Coughlin said.
