Perhaps sensing that the elite cornerbacks at the top of their board could be about to dry up, the Jets made the first dramatic move of the draft when they traded up to the 14th selection and grabbed Pitt's Darrelle Revis. The trade gives the Panthers the Jets' first-round pick (25th overall), second-round (59) and fifth (164). The Jets will receive the Panthers' sixth-rounder (191).
More to come ...

This is a clear sign that these aren't the "same ol Jets' that passed on players like Dan Marino, Anthony Munoz and Warren Sapp for various reasons. It was an agressive move needed to keep pace with the Patriots and to prepare to play a tougher 10-6 team schedule this year. Go Jets!!
pennington has one good year left and then what? the jets dont have a legitimate backup so why would they pass up on brady quinn?add this to the numerous bad decscions on draft day by gangreen
Brady Quinn choked in every Big or Bowl game that he played in. No one in the NFL believed Quinn is worth a #1. The Jets agreed. BTW Clemens is the backup and better than Quinn. At least he played better in big college games, not worse like Quinn
