Here's what Kerry Rhodes had to say (or write) about his buddy Jon Vilma being traded to the Saints. This is purely a cut-and-paste job on the quote (per Kerry's request), so save all of your concerns about spelling and punctuation for training camp when you can bring them up to Kerry as he signs your autographs.
Anyway, here's Kerry's statement:
"its wat happens in this league players and teams part ways but hopefully one day ill get 2 play with him again cuz we learned alot togetha as teammates and grew to be real good friends so he will be missed!!!"
Of course, it's the part about hopefully playing with Vilma again one day that jumps out. The Jets and Rhodes are supposedly working on a long-term deal, but from that quote it almost sounds as if Kerry is thinking of testing free agency after the 2008 season, doesn't it?

No Tom, it doesn't. Kerry can dream all he wants of free agency, but the franchise tag will keep him off the market.
You need to pay attention to what is going on in the league. The tag was used more this season than vere before. 10 or players were tagged. Top level players are not reaching free agency anymore.
What's wrong with you guys? Apart from showing that Kerry Rhodes doesn't deserve a grade school diploma, it shows he's thinking about leaving the Jets. Sure -- Vilma could be back. So could Freeman McNeil. But odds are that if Rhodes wants to play with Vilma again, it won't be in NY.
And yes, he might get franchised. But I really don't think that's the point of the comment.

NO it does not sound like he wants out, why does it have to sound like he wants out? The man said he hopes that he will play with him again meaning he will miss him and wouldnt mind playing with him again. Why cant your question be, Does it sound like he wants Jon to come back to NY next season? The very reason why he asked you to post his comments as they were but hey lets find something in that little bit to do a blog on.
