The Doak Walker people made the wrong CHOICE

By Adam Abramson

The Doak Walker Award watch list was released with a GLARING omission: Tashard Choice.

The Georgia Tech back had 1,457 yards and a dozen touchdowns last season. Choice was one of the 10 best backs in the country in 2006 and he didn't make the list for 2007? Joke.

It's even a bigger joke when Thomas Brown makes the list. The Georgia product has put together 1,867 yards...over the last three seasons.

I want someone to step up and tell me why Choice isn't on the list.

How is B.Ore not on the list either? But Maryland's running back is? What kind of odds would Vegas put on Lance Ball having a better year than Ore?

I can understand how Allen patrick isnt on there now, due to his starting the second half of last season, but i would put money he'll be on there in the end, and so will choice, and a bunch of those fguys wont be on there

I think an accounting of who isnt on the watch list would have been easier to get through.

Yes I'm a homer but where is Austin Scott? He's getting his first real shot at carrying the rock on a full time basis. With the threats PSU has down field, and the lack of an alternative, Scott could finish with some outstanding numbers. Nobody was talking about LJ in 2002 and there he was in New York City in December trying to figure a symbolic hand sign and deciding it was best to just rip off Sammy Hagar.
