I had planned a full analysis, but Joe Torre decided to say no to the Yankees and my cohort at night called in sick.
The only good news behind that is I can watch the football game instead of the Sox (Kevin, who called in sick, is a Boston native).
I think it's a slap in the face that USF is favored by two. I've liked what I've seen from the Bulls. I'm taking them to win and cover.

Glad you like the USF Bulls to win this weekend. The reason I began reading your blog is that my daughter is a student at USF. Bulls fever is sweeping the campus and all of Tampa.
The unprecedented rise in the polls of a team in existance a mere ten years has everyone hoping for a bowl nomination. Unthinkable just three years ago, her freshman year.
Professors now begin Monday morning lectures with talk of the teams latest exploits. Students are allowed to leave class early to get tickets for home games.
The Rutgers game begins a run of three tough games against Big East opponents. With only one prior division game, a 21-13 defeat of then #5 West Virginia, facing Rutgers; Connecticut and Cincinatti in sucession, the cream of the Big East will be the determinant of whether South Florida is for real.
Local fans will, of course, be rooting hard for Rutgers. However, if USF wins, we invite all of you to climb aboard the USF bandwagon. It's a great story and it is, after all, a Big East team.
So watch this great, nationally televised game. Whoever wins, Big East football is the big winner here. But for me personally, GO USF BULLS!
