Islanders leading scorer Jason Blake will be in the lineup against Philadlephia tonight. Despite interest from five Western Conference teams in Blake just before the trade deadline, none stepped up to meet the Islanders’ asking price.
But that doesn’t mean the Islanders are done. It’s past the deadline, but something is in the works, and it might be very big. Can’t say right now because it’s not finalized but stay tuned. If it happens, Islanders fans will be dancing for joy.

Yashin being traded away was my first reaction. Now I'm sitting on pins and needles now! Please let the Isles do something big and right.
Definitely sounds like Yashin. Whoever would be headed out, it has to mean that a legit first liner would be coming back. I can't imagine that simply dumping Yashin for pucks would mean jumping for joy.

Im surprised you didn't hear Greg, according to the post game Rangers show yesterday the Isles and Ducks actually agreed on a deal to send Blake to the ducks for a 1st round pick but the NHL rejected it saying they sent the deal it past the deadline.
