« Next DiPietro update expected Monday | Main | DiPietro starting »

DiPietro practices; Johnson out

A nasty abrasion remains at the corner of Rick DiPietro’s right eye courtesy of Sidney Crosby’s inadvertent stick to the face Saturday night, but the Islanders’ franchise goaltender was cleared to practice today and was pleased with the way he performed. The best sign about his readiness to go against the Rangers Tuesday night at the Coliseum might have been the way he rolled around on the ice and clowned with teammates. It was Ricky being Ricky, which is always a good thing.

As per usual, coach Ted Nolan declined to pronounce DiPietro the starter a day ahead of time, saying that decision will come after the morning skate tomorrow. But when asked if there is any consideration of giving DiPietro a full week off between games, which would mean a return Saturday against the Devils, Nolan scoffed, “Oh, no.”

DiPietro admitted his vision was blurred for awhile after being hit, but the relief was that, when he opened his eye after the incident, he still could see. Caution with such an injury might be the better part of valor, but considering the opponent, it appears there is a good chance DiPietro will be in net against the Rangers unless he experiences any difficulties in the morning skate.

The status of fourth-line winger/defenseman Aaron Johnson is another matter. Johnson suffered a sprained right knee in a practice collision with Brendan Witt and will be out for six weeks. Nolan declined to say who might be called up to replace Johnson, but Tim Jackman might have earned a promotion with seven points in 10 games in addition to the toughness necessary for a Rangers battle.

Much thanks to Mark Herrmann and John Jeansonne for doing such a great job covering the Islanders during my two-week absence. I’ll have to earn my way back into the lineup.

keep up the posting..Mark and John did a good while you were gone

good post Greg ... welcome back. Big relief that DP is okay ... he goes down and we might as well start bailing ship!!!! Would like to see Bootland get the call ... tough guy w/ good hands and we need to thump those Rags around!!! Time to go 2-0 vs. the Rags!!!!!

Not for nothing but can we keep Hermann and you can go back to doing whatever it is you were doing? For a while there were regular posts with some actual information in them.

Great to see DP is okay. He is the glue to this fun season. Hopefully the Flyers and Rags beat the living snot out of each other tonight and get the old men ;) on the Rags all tired out!

Merrick: Let me know if you are 100% going to the /Bruins game the day after Turkey Day...I will be ther with some buddies. I can put your name on the board with "Legends" so you can bring the kids to lunch, get drinks, clean bathroom, etc. ..... It is pretty cool place. We go there for food and drinks before and after the game. It is like a Doolans but private to season ticket holders that pay for it!!

The person that wrote the Isles have had an easy schedule, is beyond comical. Started the season with back to back against the Sabres along with 6 games in 8 days. Then a week off, a game, and then another week off. Come on!

Midnight~Mook: Big game tonight for you guys. I like your chances at home. Hope it is a long one :) !

Greg welcome back!
I missed you!!!

Steady...The Sabres suck this year, in case you haven't noticed.

what about tambellini?
hilbert has 0 points this season.
i know hes more of a defesnive guy, but come on - whats the point of having walton, bootland or johnson? honestly? our best prospect should be up instead of those jabronis!
JEFF TAMBELLINI DESERVES TO BE UP.
and dont give me the speech that its better for him to play top-line 20 minute games in the minors than 3 minutes on a checking line. i dont care, he deserves playing time.
and that's a fact

Andy Hilbert sucks, Tambellini is no better. If Tambellini, who showed only a propensity for having stone hands and taking lots of penalties, is the "best" prospect this team has, this team does not yet know the trouble its in.

I'd love to see Blake Comeau get a shot here, and the team should find a permanent spot for Ben Walter when Bergenheim has come back. Walter made things happen in his limited ice time on Saturday, and I want to see more of him at this level. We all know my feelings on Andy "First Base" Hilbert, so I won't go there. I know he plays a valuable defensive role, but I still think his role is better filled by Richard Park, who can provide many of those functions in addition to some offensive upside.

Glad you have you back Greg. Mark and John were ok, but they are not our beat reporter with their pulse on our club.

Prucha:

Correct me if I am wrong, but they have a better road record then you, more goals scored then you, and have THE SAME RECORD as you except played one less game. Not to mention had losses to us twice, MTL ( who is playing great) CAR (who is playing great,) and BOS who is playing great......

So if they are putrid what does that make your team ?????

My point here is that to go into Buffalo for their home opener and BEAT them in a wild shoot out type game, and then come home and beat them again is NOT easy.

I guess we now know you were the "anon" with the ridiculous statement!

Great to havy you back Greg. Question: will Bergenheim suit up tomorrow?

i love to have tambs up but they wanted a center up. Walter was aggressive and played well with 3 minutes of ice time. Tambs has had a couple of chances.

Nick: i would like to see Comeau up as well.l want toWalter play a couple more games. i have feeling that he could be a good impact player for us in the future

Steady: the rag fans who do not talk hockey and bother us with a "cupcake schedule" etc...the new one will be when we beat them on Tuesday bc they started there back up and will forget that they have two 7 million dollar players in it. They cant talk about our team being bad or any players b/c we are doing good. By friday, they will have 4 more games played than us and we still might have the better record..

Midnight: good luck against the flyers but i'm feeling a Briere hat trick...and Biron shut out...i can only hope

Appreciate the update Greg! Can you please pressure Nolan to give some indication of when we might expect Bergenheim back, especially in lieu of losing Johnson?

I bet it was empty last night...seeing as there was no game.

Sam: nice post they played on Saturday not Sunday...apparently you were not at the game just by your post...

don't be mad that you do not have any one to honor.....oh wait the oilers..maybe you guys should just retire the Edmonton jersey.

i hope walter plays strong tomorrow..that would be huge..

Berard is back for Saturday? is any one positive on that .

MJ -- I posted the report about Berard. It came from Al Arbour's nephew, who said Berard told him at practice that he would return Saturday. Obviously it's not official, and Ted does not always bring players back when the players consider themselves ready. But it sounds like Berard is very close to fully healed.

Welcome back, Greg :)

Mark & John did a good job while you werent here- posting good information and dealing of course with the moron spammers around here.

I am very glad to hear that Rick might play- we all love ya Rick!

i thought i read that . thanks KH.

you going to any of other games this year?

Bezzy; we need hilbert up..he is one of those players you wont hear much about except not scoring but he is valuable and needs to be on the ice

MJ -- Yeah, I am going to the game tomorrow against the Rangers... Last time I went to an Islander-Ranger game at the Coliseum, a female Ranger fan behind me screamed "Islanders s__k c__k" in my ear throughout the game. And she was with her boyfriend! (Did he find that attractive, I wondered...) Hopefully my seats will not be near any class acts like that this time.

Our breathtakingly dumb troll probably is proud to have a gal like that as a fellow Rag fan.

I hope that the chick who wore an actual lundqvist golie mask to the game last time shows up again. Big loud mouth afterwards, when all the Isles fans were getting on her case for looking like an idiot. You had to be at least 40 years old, the only people wearing masks to games are the golies and little kids. Typicall Rag idiot.

See he proved me right!! Too bad he'll never have a girlfriend anyway...

By the way, Isles fans do not have a chant as pathetic and classless (and pleasing to their opponents) as "Potvin sucks" -- at every home game!! Thanks for admitting with that chant that the 4 straight cups still torment you all these years later.

Islander fans would never, as Rag fans did, chant "Henrik's better" (or "DP's better" in our case) even if our goalie had better numbers than Brodeur early in the season, as both HL and DP did when the Rags and Isles, respectively, played the Devils. Why? Because Brodeur is a sure Hall of Famer and living legend with three cups and HL/DP have not yet accomplished anything. Brodeur's career deserves the respect of never subjecting him to a chant like that even though he's in a slump. But Ranger fans are so dumb and so obsessed with the greater success of the suburban teams, and so driven crazy by their own team's failures, that they would actually taunt Brodeur that way. I'd be deeply embarrassed if fans of my team did that, but they never would.

Steady and MJ,

Big game indeed tonight, Sabres and Habs should be a beauty, hahaha. Okay, in all seriousness, this game against the orange and black should be a tough one. The Flyers have looked good out of the gates, especially Biron. Like the Rangers need anymore hot goalies to face, but I digress. This game should be tough, even with Jagr in the lineup, which isn't a guarantee. He has that nagging groin and it might keep him out of tonight's game. Then, there is the spector of the Fyers softening the Rangers up for another big division game against your boys. Needless to say, an injury free win tonight is imperative. We'll see how it goes, I will be there rooting my boys on....Oh and I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Briere lights the Rangers up. He seems to always play well at the Garden.

KH: good luck most likely there is gonna be some class less fans around on both sides but it will be fun. We need to get the two points big time

Steady: it will be an interesting game tonight with the Drury vs Briere tonight and i imagine this is why versus picked up this game as well. Jagr seems not likely to play... Any news on who is starting goal for you guys tomorrow.

It looks like my crystal ball still works. (Insert "other ball" joke here)
Bootland replaces Johnson in the lineup.

That probably means Bergy is going to sit out another game.

Greg,
Welcome back. Who was Walter practicing with?

Good luck to the Rags tonight. We can worry about them on Tuesday... when we play for first place in the DIVISION. I guess the biggest thing we can root against is another stupid 3 point game.

To the folks that want to see Tamby up with this team. Tamby is fighting against his size and strength to be in teh NHL. He does deserve time SOMEWHERE, but this team has Park and Hilbert who have earned their spots PLAYING IN THE NHL. Tamby earns it in the AHL, and gets pushed around in the NHL. He needs 20lbs of thigh to chest muscle... I hate to say it, but he might need to look up Hill... or give BB a call.

In the one game I saw Bridgeport play Walter was all over the ice making things happen... and when he laid his body on somebody, it was felt. He also won the one on one's along the boards and n front of the net. He's going to stick. Tambellini needs to work on his defensive positioning and he'll make First Base expendable, becasue he has 20 goal potential if he can get 2nd line ice time somewhere... It's too bad the talent level is better than when Blake was getting 12-15 minutes with the team. Tamby is probably at that level, but can't get the NHL time to get better.
You have to remember that Blake earned his time in the Lavy low cycle with Bates and Scatch... I don't think Tamby can play that big on a FT basis. ..

Look at their AHL lineup... Bootland, Brennan, Jackman, Spiller... Nolan wants a tough gritty team... Tamby tries like heck to play that game, he's just too darn small.

CRYSTAL BALL:
Rags win on a PP goal froma 5 minute call against another Flyer who will be suspended for crosschecking AVERY'S chicklets all over the fresh ice....

Well... a guy can dream...

You guys want to laugh. Go to the Rangers blog and see what tehy are sying about otnights game. Half of them do not care, all they want to do is beat the Isles. The above moron is leading the charge.

Gary why do your own fans call you an idiot? Why do you not care about beating the Flyers? You are beyond a moron!

Just got back from my kids hockey practice at the Micro-Ice and got some scoop for you puck heads wanting to know about Ben Walter #29.

My kids skate teacher (and my friend) is BEST FRIENDS with him. Played at Lowell Umass with him for 3 years. Said first and foremost, that he is a very talented player. Said he is a very good character guy as well. Lead the Providence Bruins last year in scoring and got MVP of his team in the AHL.....Only 22 yrs old and my pal says he will be a 20- 25 goal scorer in the NHL. Hopefully he sticks so I can get some tickets out of it :) :) !!! I asked him if Ben was a clutch type player, and he said he will never be a 40 goal scorer, but said when his team ever needed a BIG goal, Ben was always the guy to get it! Said the puck seemed to find him in clutch spots! From his mouth to Gods ears!

So l for one am excited to see him play. Lets support the kid and see what he can do!

Let's get TWO tomorrow night...TAKE TWO !!!!

Check out Jim Baumbach column for interesting take on Al Arbour Night. Guy has some b@lls to write this.
http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/islanders/ny-spjim1106,0,6998798.column

cut and paste sorry i dont know how to link keep up the great work gregg!

What lil Jim fails to mention is that Arbour was brought back against a very good team, and could of very easily got anothre Loss on his record. He could of very easily lowered his shooting %......

If Jim does not think that the hype of Arbour and his spirit helped win that game, he never played a sport in his life!

Get a clue Jim!

p.s Put on the Devils game....Asham is jawing with The King of the Ice Georges Laraqe. Asham is the man!!!

Contractor..
Wanting for another 67 years to win cup, too bad the Oilers suck,
and the other 24 teams won't drop out of the NHL, you might have chance..

Bossy's first three with 50 goals = the whole Ranger entire 81 years for 50 goals score.... How pathetic is that, what a bunch of loser.

Hey Gary got out of piano class. Everyone say Hi to Gary....

HI GARYYYYYYYYYYY!

LOSER!

p.s Jagr hurt....That means you will average less than a goal a game now! LOL

Anyways...This game is going to be huge, both NY teams have put together a couple of wins to this point so its a chance for either team to trip up the other in gaining momentum. DP is hurt, Lundqvist may be tired so there may be some chinks in the armor on both sides. I hope the Islanders can come out flying and get the Rangers off their game, physical play is a must. Controlling Nigel Dawes will also be a must.

That's not chant the rags have, that's just them crying about a hit 30 years,

They are crying because the NHL is tough sport, only little old ladies and wuss would cry about a legal hit like Potvin put on Nielsson.

He sucked so bad that Ranger begged for him to come out retirement..

"Potvin declined an offer to come out of retirement and play for then-Rangers coach Mike Keenan in 1993."

from

Denis Potvin

Thanks for the win Rags troll aka Gary. Now when we win tomorrow we will have sole possesion of 1st place with THREE GAMES IN HAND !!!!

Sleep tight suckah!

Welcome back, Greg.

Jim Baumbach is an a-hole. Logan, kick him in the goyones for us.

isles # 22, you can't be more wrong. i was at the game on sat and i saw him coach and he most deff impacted the game. anyone that says he didn't doesn't know what the hell their talking about.

anyways in other news,
"Fourth-line winger/defenseman Aaron Johnson sprained his right knee in practice and will be out six weeks. No Bridgeport call-up was announced immediately, but forward Tim Jackman has seven points in 10 games and the toughness necessary for the role."

looks like we wont be seeing him for a while, it will be interesting to see if nolan puts MAB on the fourth line now with berad comming back or what. i think you gotta bring back bootland for the next games against the rag$ and flyers and put in bates until bergy comes back. once berad comes back i think you have to shop MAB around or put him back in press box. night and day difference wit berad out there compared to MAB.

lets get 2 tonight boys!!!

Mook/Midnight: Another good win. Henrik is beyond good right now! I was actually rooting for you. Now a win tonight and we got 1st place by our self with three games in hand. So pissed the game is on VS. Anyway should be fun.

Welcome back Greg. You were missed.

As for Jim Baumbach. Well, I had fun with my response to him. It was a fair question, but not so fair supposition.

Steady,

He is looking good and this team is starting to come together.

Now, when I look at the standings I see the Rangers take over first with the win tonight and the best the Islanders can do is tie Philly.

Headed to that Old Barn tonight. Should be fun! I will be the guy wearing the Rangers jersey with his face painted...lol (Joke) I come in peace.

whose got two thumbs and is going to watch the Rangers kick some a$$ tonight....THIS GUY!

I will look for you when they play we will rock you or the chicken dance.

Greg, can you or anyone else explain to me why the Isles always has less games played than any other team coming out the gate? We've played three games less than the Rangers, Devils and Penguins. We have a better record than all those teams, yet trail in points behind the Rangers and Pens because of games played. It almost seems like the NHL tries to boost the Rangers in the beginning of the season and demoralize the Isles. I know it really shouldn't matter in the long run; but it's something I've noted year after year and am very curious about...

Mookie,
the rangers are looking very good. Tonight should be another classic. These games are always exciting, but when both teams are playing well they are extraordinary...

As far as the standings go. they are always skewed in the NHL. Every other sport uses a winning percentage. But becasue the NHL uses a point system, and allows for 3 point games the team having played the most games is always going to appear better in the standings.

The Atlantic appears to be in this order:
PHI(16), NYR/PIT(15), NYI(14), NJD(12)
If they were to use a points per games played the standings would look like this:
NYI 1.27 PHI 1.23
NYR 1.07
PIT 1.07
NJD 0.86

Lundy has been standing on his head, so this will be one of the tougher challenges for the Islanders. But neither him, nor DP may play.
I'm not concerned about who comes up for Johnson. Bootland or Jackman (they are both playing tough in bridgeport). Fourth line time will be important in this one. I'm guessing a lot of penalties, and some scrums may get a few guys tossed. It has all the makings of one of those ranger-islander barn burners... so Park should see a lot of ice time.

I'd look for Avery or Hollweg to irritate Comrie early, becasue Mike will take a retaliation penalty in a heartbeat. But if he can keep his cool the Isles can apply solid 5-on-5 pressure with their top two lines. But they can't afford defensive lapses by MAB...

Witt and Sutton need to keep the front clear, and on the other side guys like Guerin, Hunter, Walter (This is why I want walter and not park on the second line) and YES... SIMON need to jam up the front on Hank. remember who Simon scored his LAST goal against.. It would be pure justice if he could net the WINNER tonight.

Any way this one turns out, lets hope that this is one lives up to it's potential.

LET'S GO ISLANDERS!!!!

Midnight/mook: i thought the flyers were tying it in the middle of the 3rd....henrik saved you guys again..and it look like Jagr got his old stick back...

Lets get 2 tonight...and scored 10 and ruin henriks GAA

----------
Mookie | November 6, 2007 09:14 Steady,
Now, when I look at the standings I see the Rangers take over first with the win tonight and the best the Islanders can do is tie Philly.
----------
Ignoring GP is a fun kind of delusion for you guys, isnt it? :)

MJ/Steady,

Yeah, I was at last night's game and it was nice to see Jagr shake off the achy groin. He looked pretty solid last night, as did that entire line. Gomez looks better playing with speedier wingers(something I said should have been done two weeks ago). The Rangers still are having a tough time of it scoring, but the defense and Lundqvist are looking very formidable. Flyers are a tough team, was surprised to blank them. Anyway, onto tonights game, this should be fun, just aas long as Lundqvist starts. There is talk of Valliquette getting the nod in net, to give Hank a rest. I don't see this happening, because besides this being the hated Islanders they are facing tonight, more importantly it is a four point game(as long as a team wins in regulation ofcourse). Seeing that I have zero faith in the Rangers backup, especially against an Islanders team that has started the season off pretty well, I will feel a lot better about the Rangers chances tonight if #30 is between the pipes for the Rangers.

JP and MetalChick,

I am not ignoring it and understand it well. But, that all comes out in the wash. We are what a little over a 1/8 of the way through the season. So, i understand what you both are saying but, the standings are the standings...we all play 84 right?

See you guys tonight!

Also I say that they clear DP and he plays and there is no way that Lundqvist takes his rest tonight...

Mook...Relax there big guy. If we win we will have the same record as Philly with A GAME IN HAND! When I woke up for my morning paper, the NYI would be at the top! Don't be like Gary and forget those big games in hand ;) ......We win tonight and are up on you with 3 GAMES IN HAND .....That is HUGE !

Enjoy the game tonight! Jealous I cannot be there!

Isles simply need to stay out of the penalty box. The way the Rangers win is with stellar goal tending and Power Play goals. Right now they cannot score. So ignore Avery, beat up Orr, and let the unshowered Hollweg take his stupid penalties.

I hope my friends pal #29 plays well tonight! Do not forget the Mavens prediction of Dilberts first big goal :) :)!

Enjoy the game everybody. Remember we are all NYers, be civil in the barn tonight! Nothing wrong with razzing, but be human!

p.s Mook..........The two thumbs up line was PRICELESS....LOL

Have fun and be safe.....I hear Merrick is bringing the foil! :)

Steady,
I am relaxed and it is all good. Just had to take a stab.

Heres another for you my friend:
Your place in the standings won't matter after this game is over. Rangers in 1st place tonight!

I look forward to the razzing. I will have some gear on but, keeping it toned down a bit. I am sure I will here a thing or two but, I am not a JO and come looking for a good time and hockey not the drunk beer muscle stupidity...

Figured you would remember that line 'Two THumbs'

Foil?

Where is the spot to hang when you get there early?

Champions at the Marriot is always a zoo or go to Doolans and get beat up by Merrick all FOILED up! :) (foil is from Slap Shot and my childhood....Put aluminum foil on your knuckles to make you bleed when you fight. come on mook... U sure this is not lil gary? :) )

Steady,
Hell No! No Gary here, not me.
Forget that movie, going to have to watch it again...

Doolins is not at the coliseum right?
Is there spots at the coliseum?

doolans is at the NVMC...Downstairs....$8 beers. enjoy :)

Hey everybody. Just want to check in, since I've been traveling and super busy the past few weeks. I've been trying to read as many posts as I can... KH - looks like things in the lawyer world have slowed down a bit, eh? You and all the old, and new, regulars have been posting some good stuff.

As coincidence has it, I'm on LI this week and just happened to cop a hotel room at the Marriot, next to the NVMC. Landed some seats in sec. 324 for tonight... and I'm PSYCHED as all hell. I'm going to the game with some old buddies of mine, and we're looking for the best place to hang for an hour or six after the game. Preferably close to the NVMC, since we don't have a willing designated driver as yet. Any suggestions? Is the Marriot bar any good?

Let's get TWO tonight fellas!!! Something tells me we're gonna have a lot to talk about tomorrow. Mookie and MM... always happy to see the back and forth with you guys. :-)

Sweet! I'll be hitting Doolins before the game...

Cincy ~

After the game Marriot is actually fun. A lot of players go there after! Or you can go to Wayne Chrebets Steak house/ sports bar down the road......The season ticket guys would know better than me ! I am out of the loop! :)

I am soooooooooo freaking jealous. Dangerously close to calling the wife and declaring today "Disappoint Your loved ones day" and getting in my car and driving down! :) :)

I know what you mean, Steady....I'm happy my hotel room has Versus and I plan on getting out of my dinner as early as possible so I can run home and watch.

Also, I noticed your comment on the Baumbach trash. Didn't know you were from Acton; I maintained contact with a professor of mine from BU who lives in Boxborough, so I've been in that area quite a few times. Played golf at Shaker Hills over the summer, too (and it didn't destroy me).

Huge game tonight, guys. Let's take it to the Rangers early and force them on their heels. BIG 2 POINTS, LET'S GET EM!

Steady,

Big shock!!! There is tickets left! LOL...

Oh boy rivalry days are fun!

Steady, "Blessed are the Peacemakers."

Thanks for the offer in Boston. Unless it snows, I'm definitely going, but I can't tell you whether my kids will join me. I'd leave contact info on the blog, but that would be insane.

Saturday night on ESPN radio, Pat McEnroe and his sidekick were busting on Al Arbour night dissing the Isles for doing whatever they could to get 90 seconds of attention. They then asked callers to suggest what else the Isles could do to get more than 90 seconds. The first idea that popped into me head was that Simon could clock another Ranger tonight with a two-handed chop!

As always, I'm just hoping for an entertaining game where the good guys win.

Nick ~

I actually live in Lynnfield MA...I use wireless internet from home, and when I made that post it came out Acton??????? No clue why????

Merrick, I will put your name down as "Merrick" to get into Legends.......They usually do not ask for idea! With the Bruins playing well, it should be a great game.....The Chowdahs will pack the place that day!

Midnight,

it is going to be a good game tonight..i believe we both will have our starters in. net

All we need to do is score a goal early, break the trap and control the puck. but we need to break the trap quickly because the rangers will have to play a more offensive game if we get a go ahead goal on them.

Mookie;

there is also a beer tent outside...but the weather is kind of bad today.and usually by the 2nd period, its gets a little rowdy out there with both isles and rag fans.it stays open till like 11pm

You may need the foil..j/k..just make sure you do not bring these two guys with you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmxS5hAahXA

Champions is fun but it takes forever for a drink..it gets crowded.

Walter is going to play more tonight i hope and hilbert will be taking his hands out of stone

LETS GO ISLES

Beating the Rangers defense, surprise to many, isn't as easy as it seems. Everyone, including the forwards and yes especially Jagr, all get back to help the backline out. I agree with you MJ, the first goal is a big one, but one goal isn't necessarily a reason to panic. The Rangers could still play their system and create scoring chances that way. The Rangers have had a hard time of it, putting the puck in the net, as I am sure we all know, but it isn't from lack of scoring opportunities. Even in games they have been blanked or held to one goal(which are too many to mention for me) the Rangers had chances to score, just failed to. Nevertheless, this game, as it has been lately, a nail biting beauty. Rushing home, straight from work to catch this. Too bad it is on VS., but I guess we'll all have to suck it up.

Its.......On........Tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary get back in your cage, the men are talking. obviously the above was not me. As a matter of fact, go llok at what I wrote to Jim :) !!!

The Rangers are playing great D, and Lundqvist keeps stealing wins for the team. good thing is, the Islanders have won 4/5 and are playing great, too! Should be a fun game tonight!
