All Okposo, all the time

A few points of interest for Islander fans. First, check out the Kyle Okposo video by Newsday's Katie Strang:

Also, in case you missed it, you can read Mark Herrmann's column on Okposo from his first practice in Bridgeport, Conn., yesterday.

Evan Drellich will be covering Okposo's first professional game tonight in Binghamton. Drellich will also blog on how Okposo looked. Check for the story and blog entry on Newsday.com.

Enjoy!

Lets just let Kyle play and develop. No need to rush him along ... it will not make the Isles any better to throw in someone ... who yes ... has great potential and talent ... but will have his development muted by rushing him.

I know most of you on this board agree with this assessment. The good thing about Kyle coming to the AHL is that it gets him ready for the Islanders sooner rather than later. It also gives the fans a chance to see him, since we have to read the press clippings from UoM in order to gauge his progress.

Good Luck Kyle!!

Greg,
If you have any power with Newsday at all, please pull Herrmann's column NOW and then do what I asked you to do in the last thread when you get back to LI

And when the hell are we gonna get that Ranger fan out of the headline department at Newday????????

"Isle's to face Bobby Nystrom's son, A Flame"

A FLAME????
Has nobody back there ever heard about subliminal advertising/writing?

DP Going to the All-star Game...
