Some how you have to talk about how the Islanders out of all teams stole what the Rangers do after they win..With the stick salute to the fans...I know the Rangers got the idea from the european players...B/c thats what they do in Europe..But for 3 seasons no team has touched it...It a great thing they have done..and now out of all the teams their biggest rival copies them....Unreal..just unreal...way to reunion islanders..just another ploy to bring fans in....Dont they get it..Just win hockey games , build a new arena..But the amount of corny things the islanders do is out of control..As you can see Im a Ranger fan. Maybe if they stopped making the team a marketing venture and instead making them a hockey team....they would get some fans...sorry for the choppy writing just dont get what they are trying to do sometimes...you know most of the players would not want to copy what the rangers do for their fans.
dont worry john, they dont win enough games, you will probaly never ever see them raise their sticks
Actually, it's the Icelanders who never win any games. Sorry, my bad. Now back to mommy reading me my bedtime story.
The versus color commentator for game 1 was useless. Completely unprepared, and no insights or meaningful analysis offered.
I have been a Ranger fan since 1964. I have really enjoyed keeping up with The Rangers by reading Steve's blog. Can't wait till next year
Steve,
Great job on the blog, In looking at free agent defensemen I am trying to find a site that gives stats for Hits. Today you wrote that Tyutin had 111, so where do I look for this info?
Re-sign Sean Avery before anyone else.

You know, I live in Charlotte since 1987, but was 18 yrs in NYC prior to that. I try to keep up with my NY sports through the rags of NY and WFAN at night. Are the sports guys at Newsweek the only ones who work during the off season? AND with the exception of Adam Rubin and some of the NY Times writers, you are really the only ones who have anything worth reading. Since I zoned in on Newsday, you are my first and most frequently visited site for insights on NY Sports. Coverage on Knicks, Rangers and Mets is superb!! You guys deserve some promotion and $pecial recognition.
Ooooops! Meant Newsday, not that garbage Newsweek. Sorry, that is like night and day
Hey Zipay, can you PLEASE get rid of the Jagr picture next to the blog link already!! ...he's been gone for quite a while now, or is it that Newsday can't afford to change the picture? (LOL)
Lets' Go Rangers!!!
