Word of out Canada is that Karel Rachunek has the flu that's been going around the team, and Aaron Ward is still pained by a three-week old right foot fracture. Fedor Tyutin seems to have recovered---but jeez, don't you wish Thomas Pock was still here...So Ozo may be back in tonight against the Leafs as the Rangers try to their sixth straight win....
Newsday's Anthony Rieber is subbing for me at Air Canada Centre tonight.
I'm at home hosting our annual family and friends holiday party, but will be at the Garden on Sunday....

What difference would having Pock make? Renney would play Ozo over him anyway.
I don't understand. Rachunek, Tyutin and Ward all have the flu, plus Ward has a broken foot. Despite all of this Renney doesn't even give Pock a sniff of playing time. What gives? Also, lets play Prucha and sit Orr. Orr plays to bring toughness to our lineup, but I haven't seen him win a fight yet this season - tonight was no different. What the hell does Renney see in him? Oh yeah, poor Henrik was left in for 8 goals tonight, he doesn't deserve that.
I could understand if this was a young team with rookies to lose like that. But this is a veteran team and the Leafs just played a emotional high flying game with the Hurricanes the night before. The Rangers were rested. How can a veteran team like this lose like that 9-2 and not show any emotions? It makes me wonder if Renney is a good coach and knows where his team is mentally before the game?
The Leafs had their #1 line out on the Power play in the last minute of a blowout. Where was Renney on that? That is low class by the Leafs. Renney should have sent a message to the Leafs. 2 more games at the Garden. How come no one else noticed that?
How can a veteran team play so unemotional hockey against an original 6 team? Does a paycheck not motivate you? It would me if I am making 6 figures and playing a game I love all my life. I in a cubible all day and if I got to do something like play baseball or hockey I would try to get up for everygame. Granted there is 82 games and it is a long season, but Renney better wake up before it is March and the team is playing uninspired hockey.
The Eastern Conference is going to be tough this year to make the playoffs. There can't be anymore games the Rangers don't want to show up to. It is Renney's place to get these guys ready.
I just hope they are ready for the Devils or else this is going to be a long night again.
Michael - many of them are making 7 figures not 6
