Live from Beantown...

Where this morning, I watched the dog walkers in the park from a window at the Long Wharf Marriott while transcribing an interview with Commish Bettman that will run in tomorrow's paper...

Please don't connect any dots on that one.

It is chillier here in the lower-level pressroom than in the arena itself; bellman at the hotel said 1-2 inches of snow might fall later tonight. I plan to be on the 7:30 shuttle, though

Dined superbly with friends last night at Pho Republique, a funky PanAsian place in the South end. Recommended if you're here for a Red Sox game or something this summer.

No changes for the Rangers this afternoon.

The Bruins brought up D Mark Stuart, 22, and Czech RW Petr Kalus, 19, from Providence. I expect the B's to come out hard to try to snap a three-game losing streak.

WIll be scoreboard-watching Isles-Philly from the press box/laptop.

More later....

I hope I don't see Malik, Strudwick and Pock back next season. They suck, especially Malik.

Pelino doesn't think Rangers were playing sloppy? Maybe time to fire the useless moron.

Rangers playing like absolute crap, glad Ward finally got his revenge on Jagr.

that trivia just proves how "knowledgeable" Rangers fans are.

Old MacDonnald had a farm, eeehaaah eehaaahyo.

Get Renney and his Czech posse out of here already can't stand them.

Stench of Renney,

Got something to say now?

Not the best of games, but good teams find ways to win when they're not at their best. So it might have been sloppy, but this was still a GREAT win.

LET'S GO RANGERS!

Lundqvist (best goalie in NHL) is the only thing standing between Renney losing his job and being exposed for the clueless idiot that he is.

Guess that Czech posse you want gone just scored the winner in the shootout...

so what? I am sure Callahan and Shanahan could have scored too against a backup goalie.

Everyone seemed to lack energy today. Henrik absolutely stole this one. Malik was awful, and the Straka Nylander Jagr line was horrible. All three of these guys have played so much better this season when not on the same line. This line must be broken up! When they are together they play way too many minutes, there is way too much dipsy doodling, and everyone else seems to sit around and wait for them to do something. We got two points though! :)

GB good point man. It would be nice to see those guys split up indeed. That was a serious nailbiter. I almost broke something watching that third period. Tomorrow is yet another huge test. Should be a great game if the Rangers come out charging.

Let's Go Rangers!

Stench - I thought you were thrown off this blog

(as your former name Uncle Renneys Cabin)

As a former Renney detractor I've come around to thinking he's quite all right. The team was dead in the water a month ago, riddled with injuries, kicking away games, and he got them back in the race. Nothing won yet, but he deserves some slack.

Big 2 points, now a little scoreboard watching tonight before another big game tomorrow.

Seems like every game is a playoff game right now. 2 more with the Icelanders and 2 more with Montreal are going to determine whether the Rangers are in or out of the palyoffs.

Let's go Washington, Let's go Buffalo, Let's go San Jose,Let's go Ottawa...Tonight anyway.

"Stench - I thought you were thrown off this blog"

no, moron in spite of you I never was thrown out of here, keep dreaming.

This team has gone on it tear thanks to more grit being brought by Girardi, Avery, Callahan, Mara, Hollweg and others. This is the way you win the playoffs.

Not the fancy passing you try to do through the neutral zone. This is what we expected all year only to be frustrated for the 1st 5 months of the season.

No let up yet, the Islanders stand in the way and this is a big 4 point swing tomorrow.

"stench of Renney " Pock brought the game to O.T.

Renney is clueless. Anyone who attributes the turnaround to him is also clueless.

The Rangers' surge is due to Henrik and the injection of youth. If the injuries did not happen, we'd be out of contention and Renney's job would be in jeopardy.

Lundqvist has been all-world over the last 2 months, despite continued mistakes and own-goals by Renney's "trusted veterans" (Malik, Roszival). Henrik is the main reason we're even close to playoff position.

Renney was forced to play the kids against his will, and as the injured players return he will sit the kids.

Look, he has already broken up the combos that were working very well. Putting Jagr, Nylander and Straka back together yesterday was idiotic... and they went right back to their dipsy-doodle, circular, no-shoot game.

When Tyutin heals, he'll sit Pock. When Rachunek heals, he'll sit Girardi. When Hossa heals, bye-bye Callahan.

And we'll be right back to the lousy play we saw for two-thirds of the season.

Renney has ZERO responsibility for this surge. And he should be fired after this season, no matter what the outcome.

Get us a real coach, Sather. Oh yeah, Get us a real GM, Dolan.

baron, I totally agree .

Hey Zipmeister,

I was one of the NY contingent up in Boston, and having heard the pop on each of the Ranger goals (And the Let's Go Rangers chant after the game) how many out of the sellout crowd do YOU guess were Ranger fans?...There was red-white & blue all over the place...

I was up there too, 8 Ranger fans including myself went together. And all the people along the top few rows were Ranger fans.
