Yep, the officials kept on getting in the way of the game - physically in the corners ... don't know how many times they couldn't get out of the way of the players.

Steve at least your wiling l to call it atrocius, but more has to be exposed on the NHL's ideas of how to call a game vs their actions. Get on their cases and stay there until they give straight answers and an apology for almost giving buffalo the game. And how they plan on correcting and rectifying future calls. Get John Stossel on the case.

They can not and will not get anything right. The officials are useless, they get in the way of the play and when they make a call on the ice, toronto flips its...I all most forget what the officials are for...Those people from Canada are not in they right mind to view any goal for review they are like florida voting .......Oh about the writers for newsday, when the islanders were in the playoffs...all the back of newsday was the islanders lose,lose,lose while the rangers ran all over the trashers, now the writes are all for the rangers, please goto buffalo and write about the cows and grass and the sabres, the things that know one cares about.

I assume you were thinking about Ruff's only fine this season, which was for the fighting incident against the Sens.

Ruff, who was also assessed a gross misconduct, was irate with on-ice officials for what he perceived were two missed calls late in the game.

''(Rangers forward Sean) Avery jumped on the ice, and they weren't off the ice, and he handled the puck, which put him in a too many men on the ice type of situation,'' Ruff said Saturday after practice.
