The NHL regular-season and exhibition schedules are expected to be released later this week----when I'll be out of the jurisdiction on vacation---so here's a preview:
If form holds, the Rangers and their Atlantic Division rivals will be headed northwest to Colorado, Minnesota, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary (two separate trips for the Blueshirts) and the Ducks and the Pacific Division teams will visit the Garden. Dates TK.
No word on exhibition schedule, but figure Philly, Boston, Devs and perhaps the Islanders.
Training camp is expected to open on Sept. 13.
While I'm travelling, please keep posting news and rumors and commentary in an adult fashion, OK?

Yeah, Peca being a UFA is not tradable for anyone just a bag of cash.
Peca isn't overrated this year. He is seen as a broken shell of the player he was 5 years ago. If you needed a cheap 3rd line center, he'd be good. I think Rangers are good with the centers you guys have. Isles could use Peca for 3rd line if we could trade off Bates for a bag of pucks or a draft pick to clear some roster space.
So far no team wants to take a chance on signing Peca so he could sit on IR for 4 months after 20 games played.
