Weekes update


His two-year deal is for $1.375, about right for a veteran backup who will play perhaps 10-12 games behind Brodeur. Weekes, 32, made almost $2 million last season with the Rangers....

Good for the Devils - if they end up with Souray to replace Rafalski they won't have done too badly for themselves considering the losses they took on day one of free agency.

Our collective hopes have been responded to. Kevin Weekes, that abysmal goalie is no more with the Rangers.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Now he will be the Devil's headache and the slowly faultering Brodeur.
