Anisimov deal official

A few weeks ago, reports arrived from overseas that Russian center Artem Anisimov, the Rangers' second-round pick in the 2006 entry draft, had signed a three-year contract at $850,000 per season.
The team made that official yesterday and Anisimov, who impressed several observers---including this one----at a prospect development camp last month in Westchester, will report to training camp in mid-September.
Will he make the opening day lineup? That's a tall order for a 19-year-old on a "now" team with visions of a Stanley Cup. I've got my doubts, but it looks like he's got a future.
The 6-foot-4 Anisimov played 39 games with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of the Russian Super League this past season, scoring two goals and eight assists. Both he and Alexei Cherepanov, the club's first-round pick in last June's draft, will play for Russia against Canada in the eight-game SuperSeries for under-20 players later this month.

This is great news, and ever more of a reason signing Peca or even worse, Jason Allison would be ridiculous.

The Best of news. Dubinsky (or...) will have his time this season, and Anisimov can fill the hole in Hartford. It's a good thing that we'll have a few UFA next season, kids like this one don't need many season to learn the ropes.

The above posts from Rag Contraction, Jagr and Jim are all from the same arsehole. This is what a nutjob this guy is.

Newsday, please block this guy's IP address already so we can talk hockey on here.

Jim, are you a homo? Either way, fine. Just keep it to yourself so we can chat about hockey. Peca is an ABSOLUTE waste of a signing if it happens.

Rudy- Liking Duran Duran doesnt make me gay. Keep your fantasy alive. Agreed on Peca. And on Rudy.

Rag Contraction needs to look at the hockey history books and see that NYR are an original six team. The day NYR folds is the day the NHL folds. The isles on the other hand will eventually be removed from the island when the colloseum crumbles or the island falls into the atlantic.

hehe, you said Peca. weeeeeeeee! I'm a duranie! weeeeeeeee!

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!...
why do these pre-schoolers still infest this blog!!!...im losing any intrest i have left here, such a shame.

glad avery is stayin

mr. "rag",

enjoy ur waste of a team and trent "freakin" hunter..lmao!!..he's probably ur best winger, which says alot...at least u got hot girls that clean the ice.

isles shoulda been contracted 10 years ago u douche

I'd like to see the lines pan out like so...

Prucha - Drury - Jagr
Shanny - Gomez - Avery
Callahan - Straka - Hossa
Dubinsky - Betts - Hollweg

this is the best off season in team history.
Renny don't mess this up! You've been handed a gold ticket from God.

The Islanders would never have existed had the Rangers not been so popular.

It was the Rangers popularity that created the desire for an expansion team to be created on Long Island in 1972.

Not only did the Rangers create popularity, but the faith they instilled in the decorum of crappulence through theoretical bonds of manliness intrigues me.

I like marshmellows! yay, marshmellows! I'm the super duper blue power ranger, yay! I want to play with Michael! and I won't eat my veggies until he comes home! boo veggies!

This Blog has slipped into the range of real retardation...pity

Rag Contraction,
You've never even been to a hockey game loser.
I know this guy, he lives in the basement of his grangmother's house and is 320 lbs and rubs out to old posters of Yashin and Blake.
Hey, grams is calling, time to do your chores, she needs her sponge bath.

This page is awesome...
Go Rangers!

WAH! All our really good players don't like the island. Wah! Smyth took less money in Denver. Wah!
We cashed out on our captain. Wah! Blake 40 goals will help another real contender. Wah!

Dennis- that may be the dumbest comment I have read.

until the season starts and I spend the next 10 months of my life crying in the basement!

Yes Jim, that's the point. Much like these idiots talking to themselves.

Dear Mr Snow,
Please Sir, with all you hockey money and insight, do you think I could have my job back. I really don't want to play in Europe this year. The people over there don't clean themselves very well. In some places in Russia they wipe with their hands. Please Mr Snow, please give me my job back. I don't have to be captain anymore. I'll do anything.

With Love for the island
Alexi Yashin

Jim,

let's make a bet. Which rookie will start, other than Staal, on either the 3rd or 4th line. I can offer season tickets (one game dude). what's you got?

I take bubble baths every tuesday night at 6:30. my uncle TJ brings in his "rubber duckies" and we play in the bubbles all night. yay! on friday nights, I go to a bbq at uncle Jim's mommy's house. uncle Jim likes to stick his marshmellows in the fire, but I think that's yucky! I'm the super duper blue power ranger! yay, me!!!

Dennis- I think the Peca deal will happen, so, contingent on that.

Well no bets there. I think Peca is going to be the big mistake come Dec-Jan. HAve you finding some rumor site that is talking more about Peca and the Rangers?

I thought for sure you'd say Dawes.

uncle Jim likes to hold hands with me on chilly nights. don't tell him so, but I don't like to do it because his hands are sticky and sweaty. I'm the super duper blue power ranger! yay!

Blue Power Ranger,
Thank you so much for sharing with us all that being molested is no laughing matter, except in your case. Please Ask Uncle Jim to teach you something other than to play with dolls. And Mr Tj, to teach you something about being a man. Cause you can't play with dolls forever. And it only makes things worse when your 44, living with grams and worried about uncle Jim's marshmellows. Now I told you before, Grandma is calling, go do your chores.

Steve, your blog is awful because of these morons.

Jagr,
It's a shame you have to have such a bad character with such a successful name. I'll have you know that being 44, living in nana's basement and rubbing out to yashin poster is not all that bad. You could be a 320lb loser with a hooker for a ...
never mind

Sometimes I cry at night. Alone. Sometimes with this loser that lives accross the street. I think he calls himself Jagr. Which makes the pain ever harder to deal with. I once saw him bathing his grandmother. yucky!

Man, this is the best sports blog ever!
This is just silly. How did Jagr anf Rag Contraction get mixed up? oh, duh, they're the same a-hole.

I would like to know if anyone has a shoe horn? There are people running around the island with Mr. Snow's boots up the rumps, screaming "it's not fair!" A little help here FEMA.

Just so you know, I didn't make any of the comments previous to this since I made the Islanders 1972 comment.

And, as far as the rookie who would play most goes, I am betting Anisimov makes the team in camp and takes the 3rd line center job.

Dennis,

I do hope that Dawes gets lots of time, but I am very pessimistic that will happen.

I haven't read anything lately about Peca to the Rangers.

What I have seen is the Leafs about to trade Raycroft to the Kings enabling them to sign both Peca and Cujo.

Anismov will be on top line by december.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfLGBti_BUI&NR=1

Staal end to end!

Anismov will be on top line by december.

Well, That's a tall order. I'd like to see that happen. Wouldn't that shut up some of these retards.

Anismov is a shoe in for all star someday. The Icelander fans can say what they like--we are good, they are not. the rest is crappola and a waste of my time.

I'm not too sure about Anisimov. He doesn't seem to have that following that Staal has. He could be another Dark Horse Superstar.
I was hoping that Immonen would change his mind and come back to play that 3rd line spot. He really just needed solid ice time, and he could of been a perfect fit.

Immonen is not worth scratch to me. Agree on Staal--his intangibles are great too.

The Rangers have several highly paid prospects in the minors. They have to save space at the NHL level to allow the team to review their play at a higher level

Your all ridiculous. The Rangers are a legitimate contender for the Cup. 1983....1983.....1983.... Is it 25 years already.....wow.
